TOM LIFTED OFF OF THE parapet where he stood watching the dwarfs toss troll corpses on a bonfire. For the first time since Pony landed inside the city gates Tom spied Pony’s moor lion form walking slowly across the main square. He lifted off the parapet with open wings and floated down to land by her side. Pony surprised him by transforming in front of everyone into the dark haired human female.
He smiled at her and said, “No longer hiding who you are I see.”
Her amber eyes sparkled at him. “Once they know you can turn into a dragon transforming into a human suddenly becomes boring.” She slid her hands around his waist. “Have you feed lately?”
Tom smiled down at her and answered, “Are you kidding? With all this c*****e, I’ve had my fill. Don’t worry, it was all troll.”
