Chapter Five
Finally, the city of Banawa has been rescued from the terror of werewolves. Peace, joy, and happiness have finally returned to everyone's faces. The government was so grateful to them for going all out to rescue the people.
Gradually, things began to return to normal for the people, but they were still living in fear, and a lot of them were going through serious trauma because of the incident that happened. The government of the city decided to throw a feast to celebrate their victory over the terror of werewolves.
Quevo and his teammates were receiving treatments because of the bruises they had.
Quevo was so full of regret because he knew, of course, that his recklessness had caused so much havoc in the city.
People started returning to their places of business, marketplaces, and shop owners.
The city of Banawa started experiencing peace again, as it always has. It became like a fairy tale for the people of Banawa; everyone’s excitement knew no bounds. One minute, there was the terror of werewolves; the next minute, everything went back to normal. Quevo and his teammates were super excited as they returned their thanks to the people for their sincere help.
Quevo and his teammates decided to return to Igboku village to thank the priests and the entire village for their sincere help. after they have recovered fully from the treatment they are on. Three days later, when Quevo and his teammates arrived in Igboku village, there was so much excitement and jubilation in the air because of their arrival.
Quevo and his friends were welcomed and celebrated like returned heroes. The people of Igboku started preparing a great feast for themselves. A lot of cooking, frying, and roasting of different varieties of food was ongoing. It's really a big one for the people of Igboku. Quevo found favor in the sight of the people and the oracle of the land as a favorite child of the deity.
The feast began, and people from other villages came for the celebration. There was a lot to eat and drink, and there was a display of drama, dance, and competition in different areas. During the dance competition, some girls came out to dance, and he realized he recognized one of their faces. He looked sternly; he was so sure of the face but couldn't fully remember it. The dance went on, and the same lady danced toward him and embraced him.
Her face kept flashing in his memory, but he couldn't remember how they met. So, as they were dancing together, her face kept changing to his late mother’s; at some point, he thought he was losing it. Her face was changing like that of a chameleon, from his late mother’s face back to hers.
It seemed a lot of ladies in the village had a crush on Quevo because all the girls who came out to dance were looping around Quevo during their dance presentation. Quevo was treated like a king, served on gold-plated plates, cups, and trays. I guess he would have been full of himself after all these treatments. The feast continued in grand style, celebrating their icon, Quevo. Quevo was still staring at that lady dancing, wondering where he met her face. Later on, he realized that she was the lady he met on his way to the werewolf book station; she was his new friend on his way to the werewolf book station.
The feast was held till dawn; in fact, the people of Igboku confessed that they hadn't had such a big ceremony before in their lifetime. So, after the feast was actually over, that same lady walked up to Quevo and introduced herself to him as the lady from the bus. They discussed so many things, and she also told him how she ended up in Igboku village. Quevo and his teammates enjoyed every bit of the feast, and they felt like not returning because the people of Igboku were so receptive toward them. They felt like not leaving the place, but unfortunately, they had to. The land of Igboku became a peaceful land over time because, as the story goes, people have always avoided the village because of the terrible things that happen to any outcast that enters the land, so it became a fierce place to live. But as Quevo came in, everything was restored, people of igboku appreciated him for bringing peace, love, and joy into their village again.
Now, Quevo and his teammates are set to return to Banawa. The villagers gathered plenty of foodstuffs and gift items to show their appreciation for them as they returned to their own land. Now, we can say even after Quevo reckless attitude caused a fortune and brought calamity upon the city of bBanawa something good still came out of him, and the people of Igboku can be happy again. A few days later, they arrived in Banawa; the people received them with warm hearts, and the government threw them a party, everyone was happy and rejoicing and glad.
This cautionary tale serves as a warning to those who would pursue scientific progress at any cost. The consequences of playing God with human life are dire, and the repercussions can be felt for generations. It is essential to remember that scientific progress must always be balanced with ethical considerations and concern for the well-being of all humanity.
In the end, the city was saved. The werewolves returned to their human form, and the chaos and destruction came to an end. Quevo was hailed as a hero for his efforts, and he dedicated the rest of his life to studying the effects of the serum and ensuring that it would never be misused again.
The story of the scientist and the werewolf serum is a cautionary tale about the dangers of scientific experimentation. While the pursuit of knowledge is important, it must always be balanced against the potential risks and consequences.
