As soon as I heard Rayne had been taken, my heart pounded in my chest. I knew exactly who it was & why. It was one of the reasons why I wouldn't reveal my true identity, to keep her safe, that worked well.
My friend Jase is there undercover to get dirt on him to finally bust him. I thought I'd have more time before they had discovered Rayne. I know they've hurt her, I will kill every last one of them.
The deal was, Jase mind links with me & if I thought it necessary, then I'd give the signal to attack, I thought Rayne would be safe as she knows nothing. He did it to get to me.
Im 2hours away at the moment, I took the car instead of shifting to save energy when I rip them to shreds.
Jase has constantly been mind linking me for the signal, she must be really hurt and I haven't given the signal yet, because in all honesty I want to rip them to shreds!
I know Jase would of done all he could to protect Rayne, I know it. He's a good guy.
I've just got another mind link from him saying Rayne has fainted, He's jumped in front of her and she's hurt.
All this mind linking is because he's in wolf form and it's better that no one knew of our plan.
I tell the driver to step on it, she needs me, and I need to kill them!! I ask Jase how badly hurt she is.
"Broken leg, busted up face".
Although it broke my heart to hear that, it could've been every bone, they aren't known to do half a job, maybe they knew she knew nothing.
She's a smart girl, she's going to figure it out when she comes around. But you bet anything I'm going to be there, I'm going to take whatever crap she lures at me.
I mind link Jase to tell him I'm five mins away now.
"Hurry up, they are threatening me with silver, I'm protecting this angel though, I'll die for her if needs be".
OK that got my back up, ''Angel?
Did I hear that right? Does he not know we are kind of a thing?
I can't help but feel jealous that his face was the last face she saw.
Is he falling for her already? I know he's only just met her, but she is breathtakingly gorgeous. Nope. I will have to stop that as soon as I can. Ignoring the Angel part, I shift, and roll in the dodgy warehouse, I try sniff for Jase's scent or Raynes scent... I calm myself and focus...
Top floor. I race there as fast as my four legs would carry me. I listen outside the door for a while. I heard one say...''Move Mutt or I will stab you. We are not finished with the girl".
Hell they are finished, I'll make sure they are completely finished. I heard Jase growl, that's my signal.
I crashed into the door and charged for the first man I saw, Jase following my lead going after the one trying to pick Rayne up. Jase got there before he even laid a finger on her. I'm glad for that, but not how protective he is over her, that should be my job.
I did a number on those vile creatures, I'm not proud of it and I'd never normally condone it but they hurt her. I can't forgive myself for that.
I call my pack members to come clear up while I get Rayne to a hospital, Jase insisted he came along too, What is up with this guy? Does he not know this girl is mine?
I went to pick her delicate self up and Jase growled at me!! The hell? I'm going to have to have it out with him later, but not while Rayne needs help.
I let him pick her up and carry her to our hospital. He growled at everyone who went to touch her, the nurses explained they need to touch her to help her and that calmed him down a little, but If I went to touch her, I got growled at the worst!
Is Rayne his mate?! If so, that's not happening. I know it's like playing with fire with mate bonds, but I don't care. This girl is mine.
No one will get in my way!!
