BIRTH OF DEATH
BEAUTY OF LACK
There lived a great great King in a small village of Inedu.
Lack in Inedu is a crime, because everyone lived in the abundance of each other's supply.
But sometimes not all need can be met as some needs are not in the power of man to supply.
A local palace of bamboo woods covered with bulrushes, and a wall of mud blocks behind the thrones with drawings of wild three wild animals- snake, lion, and crocodile. In this palace seated a young man on a throne made from carved wood, lost in deep thoughts of the past. A land blessed by the gods with abundance has now turned into a land of lack for the king, it's not a lack of food or water, not even of health because the land is blessed with a greater healer. Is a lack that only the creator can provide, Is a lack of child.
In the land of Inedu where there is no lack, the last person to live in lack is the number one citizen of that village, as the king ponder on these realities, he began to think about his past mistakes, if supposedly is the cause of his predicament.
The prince in his early age had killed a young pregnant woman during an expedition. This is an untold story that wouldn't have had much effect if it were revealed.
One of the palace guards draws the king's attention to an emergency within the palace, the king returns from his thought and rush into one of the huts, get the palace healer in a hurry is a poisonous snake said the king.
Snake is one of the wild animals displayed in the palace, it's significance is the fact the they are not meant to be wild to the people of Inedu kingdom.
It becomes an abomination for any of these wild animals to hurt any of the villagers.
The village healer arrived with herbs, and administered them to the young queen.
Days have rolled by and the Palace is filled with elders who have come to pay condolence to the sick Queen, the herbs seems not to be having any much effects on the healing process.
The healer checking on the Queen in a dark hurts with sun rays slightly lighting the room and she responded to the onlookers with a subtle smile "it may not be the right herbs, since the snake was not seen, This reaction seen more like the venom of a viper, but she's not supposed to survive till this moment, except that she was not supposed to be bitten in the first place. I will go in search for other herbs as the gods will guide me" she said as she turns her face away from the Queen who is lying down with swollen hands and legs.
