Wake up call
Luca's POV:
"The sound of the birds chirping and the smell of freshly baked bread was what woke me up in the morning.
I heard a door opening and someone entering the room.
A woman I don't recognize but for some reason, something felt familiar about her I just can't figure out what.
"Good morning sleepyhead did you sleep well?" I opened my mouth to say something, but for some unknown reason, I couldn't.
It's not like I didn't want to I just couldn't like someone had purposely put a hand over my mouth, that made it impossible for me to speak.
I tried to say something but just when I was about to, someone else walked into the room.
This time it was a man but just like with the woman, I couldn't recognize him either no matter how hard I tried to. He looked at me with an almost playful smile on his lips and asked,
"I can see you're already awake, but then why are you still in bed young man?" I tried to answer but the woman beat me to it.
"Honey, what are you doing up here? I told you to just wait and we would come down to you in a minute."
"Sorry, but I just couldn't wait any longer to see my beautiful son and wife."
He said with a sheepish smile on his face and looked like he was almost embarrassed by what he said.
Meanwhile, the woman looked like a tomato and started giggling.
"Oh honey stop, you're making me blush and to say such embarrassing things right in front of your son."
The man just laughed while saying, "He's your son too you know."
"That is true, however ever heard the wording like father like son?" The woman said with a hint of amusement in her voice.
The man just lifted one of his brows and said in a pretending mocking tone,
"How could you say that?! He's like an angel sent to us by the gods, and to compare him to someone like me?! Surely you didn't mean that right?!"
"pfft... Hahaha, you know, most fathers would feel proud to hear something like that."
The woman laughed while whipping a few stray tears from her face.
"I know I was just messing with you." The man said while smiling.
While they were talking I just sat there confused and didn't know what to do, until they both looked towards me with a smile on their face.
The woman was talking to me but I couldn't hear anything.
The scenery slowly started to change and I felt like I was drowning, until I found myself in a car with the same people from before.
They were talking and laughing at something I didn't understand until they both turned their heads towards me.
It looked like they were talking to me, but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
Too wrapped up in my head trying to figure out what was going, I almost didn't see it...
The blinding light that were heading straight towards us. I tried warning them but they couldn't hear me.
My heart was pounding so loudly in my chest that I wouldn't be surprised if they could hear it too.
But before I could try to warn them again I got a stinging pain in my head.
And my ears were ringing so loudly it felt like I was about to go deaf, when suddenly...
...I could hear everything as clear as day, I tried calling out to them again but...it was too late.
I heard a loud crash and someone screaming, and only then could I feel the sharp pain that followed.
The last thing I heard before passing out was someone calling my name."
" ...ke up, LUCA! WAKE UP!!!".
