"Well, Carrie said you went to school out west…" He said, trailing off.  "Yeah. I did. I came home because my Dad was sick." I said. I didn't really want to talk about living out west. I hadn't really liked it. It was pretty. The sun, the ocean, the weather, were all amazing. But it had been lonely. I had missed my family and friends and I had a hard time fitting in. My mid-west upbringing just set me apart. The only group I had been "popular" among was the boys in school. Yes, I said boys. Those were not men. Frat boys who wanted nothing more than to get laid.
