“If we are watching you, there are a lot of reasons we might be, aside from reporting to the president of the Loco Diablos.” Sadist had done all the talking on the side of the Demented Souls so far.
Dagger shook his head. “The wanting nothing to do with him thing is an act. Who would snub him but marry his daughter?” Dagger shifted his gaze to Ruger, who sighed.
“I guess that would be me. I’ve got personal reasons for wanting nothing to do with him, except possibly to attend his funeral so I can spit on the grave. Luckily for me, Krissi feels the same, or at least close to it.”
