Dana’s neck hurt. And her shoulders. That was the first thing she was aware of as consciousness returned. Her mouth felt dry, but her churning stomach made her reluctant to drink anything. She opened her eyes and found the reason her neck hurt was because she was sitting in a chair with her head hanging forward until her chin rested on her chest. She wondered how long she’d been like this for it to hurt this bad.
