Return to the Celestial realm
Gabriel and Zadkiel stood silently as they agreed to leave Alice for the time being, so she could have her space, their wings shimmering in the dim light of the moon, as they prepared to ascend back to heaven. The weight of their bond with Alice and the uncertainty of her decision lay heavy on their hearts. With a shared glance, they took flight, leaving the earthly realm behind to seek the wisdom of their guide and guardian, Malaki.
As they soared through the celestial expanse, the vast beauty of the heavens unfolded before them. Stars glittered like diamonds in the infinite sky, and the air was filled with the harmonious hum of divine energy. They descended upon the grand celestial citadel where Malaki, an ancient and wise being, resided. Malaki was known for his unparalleled knowledge of the cosmos and the intricate bonds that connected souls across realms. Malaki was the maker of Angels, crafting them from the very fabric of stardust and moonlight. He had also crafted Zadkiel and Gabriel at the dawn of time. The well-known and well established Angel was more commonly known as the Divine. Malaki was the oldest and wisest of all the celestial creatures. Malaki had served as advisor to both brothers, and had an almost fatherly attitude towards them. And he was indeed the closest they came to a father figure.
Malaki's Sanctum
Gabriel and Zadkiel approached Malaki's sanctum, their steps echoing softly in the vast hall adorned with celestial symbols. Malaki awaited them, his presence radiating calm and wisdom. He greeted them with a serene smile, his eyes reflecting the depth of his understanding.
"Gabriel, Zadkiel," Malaki said, his voice like a soothing melody. "I sense the turmoil in your hearts. Come, sit, and share your concerns with me."
The brothers took their seats, their minds heavy with questions. Gabriel spoke first, his voice earnest. "Malaki, we seek your guidance. We are bound by the soulmate bond to a mortal woman, Alice. This bond is unlike anything we have ever experienced. How could a mortal human attract both of us so powerfully?"
Malaki's eyes glimmered with ancient wisdom as he nodded. "The soulmate bond is a rare and profound connection, transcending the boundaries of mortality and divinity. It is a union of souls that were destined to find each other, regardless of their origin. Alice possesses a unique spirit, one that resonates with both of you on a deeply spiritual level."
Zadkiel leaned forward, his expression intense. "What happens when she makes her choice, Malaki? Will we be bound to Earth, or is there a way to bring Alice to the celestial realm despite her mortality? Can she be granted immortality so we can be together forever?"
Malaki's gaze softened as he considered Zadkiel's questions. "The path of the soulmate bond is complex. If Alice chooses one of you, the bond will anchor that connection more deeply, and it will, as you already know, mean the end of the other who will be rejected. The bond's nature will adjust to accommodate the choice, creating a balance between the realms. Therefore, you will not be bound to the mortal realm, you will be able to traverse as you always have. It is crucial to the harmonic and cosmic balance that you "
Gabriel's brow furrowed with concern. "And if she chooses both of us? How do we navigate such a bond, Malaki?"
"The bond between the three of you is unique," Malaki replied. "If she chooses to embrace both of you, the celestial energies will harmonize to support this union. It will require understanding, compromise, and a deep commitment to each other. Your love for Alice must transcend jealousy and rivalry, creating a unified force that guides and protects her, as well as both of you. This will also mean that you will have to find a way to love eachother, you will have to put old grudges and fights behind you and become a union. Should she reject both of you it will have no other impact or consequenses than that of broken hearts. The threads of destiny and the souldmate bond is beyond even my grasp, and I'm afraid I can only provide you with so much information about it. The soulmate bond has never come to live or action before, so far it has been a mere myth even to myself, and it will only exist this one time between the three of you. That is why I must encourage you both to take it seriously and do everything in your power to mend your brotherly wounds immediately."
Zadkiel's voice grew more urgent. "Yes, yes, we get it, 'kiss and make up' we will find a way! But her mortality, Malaki, answer my question about her mortality! Isn't that stopping everything from succeding? Can she be granted immortality, so we can be together forever?"
Malaki's expression grew contemplative. "There are ways for a mortal to transcend their human limitations, but such a transformation is not to be taken lightly, and it has never been done before. It involves a deep connection to the divine and a willingness to embrace the responsibilities that come with immortality. If Alice's spirit is strong and her love for both of you unwavering, there may be a path to grant her the gift of immortality. However, this decision must come from her, and she must fully understand the consequences, immortality is very different from mortality and she should have her free will to decide for herself, even if it means that your soulmate bond will be restricted to her lifespan."
Gabriel and Zadkiel exchanged a look, a silent understanding passing between them. They knew the journey ahead would be challenging, but their love for Alice and their bond with her were worth any trial.
"Thank you, Malaki," Gabriel said, his voice filled with gratitude. "Your guidance has given us clarity."
Malaki smiled warmly. "Remember, the strength of your bond lies in your love and dedication to each other. Trust in that, and each other.
Garden of Gravity
Gabriel and Zadkiel walked away from Malaki in silence. They both had their fair share of things to reflect on, so they made their way to the Garden of Gravity to sit quietly, meditatively and ponder.
