The soft glow of the early morning sun filtered through the nursery curtains, casting a warm light over the room. Emma stood by the crib, gazing down at her sleeping daughter with a mixture of awe and exhaustion. Six-month-old Lily was finally asleep after a particularly fussy night, her tiny chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath.
