Chapter VI

JENNIE'S POV

"Yeah, she was. Her parents started to arrange dates for her since they broke up, Rosé was a mess back then broken and fragile just like me." Lisa did not mean to confess something about her. That really caught my attention. She then tried to bring us back to the real topic. "But it only takes Jisoo to bring back her happiness. I am really happy for both of them." She added immediately.

I am looking at her. She was telling the truth. I might suffer a lot of pain, depression, and anxiety after our break up. But little did I know she's also hurting. She felt the same thing I felt.

"You were broken.," I said almost a question.

Lisa gulps and sighs deeply before she answered me back.

"I- I was." She told me.

She drinks the glass of wine near her.

"But that was a long time ago." She said not looking into my eyes.

"I know I was rude and harsh to you back then. I can't blame you if you really want to stay away from me. Jennie, I tried to talk to you but my realization took too long. Long enough that you already decided to stay away from me." She said honestly.

"I ran to the airport, I tried to stop you but you just look back .. once ... and never again." She said while she's preventing her eyes from crying. Lisa is holding her tears back. I am listening to her. Absorbing every word she's letting go. Maybe we both needed this closure. We can't be together we both know that she already has a girlfriend.

"Back then, I was a hard-headed. I did not listen to you nor gave you a chance to defend yourself. I let my anger drives me. I did not give you a chance to speak up for yourself." She admitted.

"But I am really sorry, for everything that I've done. I know it won't change anything after all." She looks at me. "If ever you are still angry at me, if you hate me for what I did, I can't blame you. I did not even look at your situation. I was too selfish to think that I was the only victim there." She added.

"We both hurt each other, Lisa. We were young. Our emotions were too strong that it drives us. I understand where you coming from." It is my time to talk.

"I did things that I shouldn't, say things that I regret. I am the one who brings trouble in our relationship." I said to her.

"And I am really sorry about everything... I regret running away instead of fixing things .. I was a coward" I said and tears escaped from eyes. I tried to wipe my tears away.

But Lisa held my wrist, she wiped my tears away. Like she always does ...

The next thing I knew, her soft lips are now on mine. It moves perfectly. She was also crying at this moment. I could taste her tears.

It was perfect. I feel like I was flying and everything seems light. I responded to her kiss. I let my body do what it wants.

Because right now this is all I want, to feel her once again. I really miss her.

We both not expected this to happen. She pulled me closer to her.

I hug her torso to close the distance between us. My heart was pounding and hers too.

"I miss you," she said between our kiss.

I did not answer her at all but instead, I deepen the kiss that we are sharing at this moment. I miss her too. I really do. Now she's with me. I tried to stop my feelings for her but I really can't because it overflows every time I try. Now we are kissing each other. Tasting each other's lips.

For the first time, after six years, I never felt this happy. I never felt this safe. Her arms, it feels home. I've been longing for this to happen.

When suddenly we heard familiar voices outside and heels walking to the room where we are. We pulled out from each other's arms and straighten ourselves.

Thank God we are both not wearing lipstick or else our lipstick would be smudge right now. And that will surely bring us in tons of questions from our friends.

We tried to act normal when the door opened and finally Jisoo and Rosé arrived.

"We're really sorry guys." Jisoo blurted out immediately and having the apologetic look on her face.

But Rosé looks at us like she's trying to figure out Lisa and I, I think she knows something happened. She looks at me and Lisa curiously.

"Tell me, what did we miss?" Rosé said eyeing the both of us.

"Wh-at are you talking about?" Lisa said stuttering. We might get caught.

"My Jennie, is there something you want to share with us? Hmmm..?" Jisoo supported her girl of course.

"You guys are late and you have the guts to question us? How dare you?" I said. I need to be furious so that they will stop bugging us. That's my defense mechanism and I'm glad it worked.

"Sorry Unnie, traffic really sucks." Rosé said apologetically.

"Where you guys have been?" Lisa talked this time she's back at being firm.

"Somewhere," Jisoo answered her.

We let them slipped this time. The party started. We drink and laugh at each other's jokes.

This time the air is light between Lisa and I. We are now exchanging smile at each other like we used to.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Jisoo suggested. She's already tipsy.

"That's a good game!" Rosé supported her. What a two supportive girlfriend to each other.

"I'm good, how about you, Jen?" Lisa asked me.

"If it is okay to everyone what can I say?" I laughed since I have no choice.

And we started to spin our destiny...

The first spin stops at Rosé.

"Yahhh!" Rosé squealed.

"Truth or Dare, chipmunk," Lisa asked her.

"Okay, I'll go for truth!" Rosé answered.

"Are you guys, official now?" I asked her.

They both look at each other and smiled.

Rosé nods her head. "Yes. We are back together." She said happily.

"Oh my God. I'm happy for both of you!" I told her.

"That was fast. But congrats at least you are done having blind dates." Lisa told her.

"You're having blind dates?" Jisoo asked her.

"You did not tell her?" Lisa asked Rosé.

"Well, I was going to, but you just did, Lisa." Rosé said and Lisa laughs.

"Baby, don't be jealous. If I liked those dates I had I'm not going to let you inside my condo specifically my bed." Rosé confessed and that was kinda surprising. This girl amazes me right now.

Wow. This girl.

"Alright, alright. Stop that. You two are getting annoying." Lisa blurted out.

"Someone's envious." Rosé teased her.

"I'm not okay. In fact, I have a girlfriend. So I am not." Lisa proudly said without even thinking that I am also here? Oh, we are just friends now how can I forget? Why am I even affected?

Right. How can I forget about her girlfriend? Stupid.

Lisa realized what she just said and tried to avoid my gaze.

There were five seconds of silence in the room.

"Let me spin it." I initiated to spin the damn bottle.

"Jennie!" Jisoo yelled my name since the bottle stops at me. Great.

"Truth or Dare, unnie?" Rosé asked me.

"Dare," I said briefly.

"Ooooh. Strong I like that." Jisoo teased me.

"Shut up," I said to her.

Rosé and Jisoo exchange glances. Oh f**k, this is not good.

"I dare you to kiss someone you really like inside this room. Well except to me, okay?" Jisoo said laughing together with Rosé these dumb! Aish.

"Is that serious?" I asked since we are all in the influence of alcohol.

They both nod as a response. Lisa was being uncomfortable.

Come on, Jennie. It is just a kiss. She has a girlfriend but she kissed you an hour ago.

Yeah. She needs to pay for it.

"For 10 seconds," Rosé added.

"Deal," I said arrogantly.

I lean closer to Lisa but she tried to scoot over away from me. "W-what?" she asked.

"What?" I asked her the same question.

But when she was about to answer I attacked her lips. For the first two seconds, she did not respond. I closed my eyes and push my tongue inside her mouth. But to my surprise, she's not letting me in.

She's now playing hard to get huh? Aish this b***h. I needed to find a way so I bit her lower lip. Jisoo and Rosé are counting in the background

"4 ... 5 .." Jisoo and Rosé

Lisa finally opened her lips

"6 .. "

But still not responding. I let my tongue explore inside her mouth and moan enough for her to hear only.

"Uhmm.."

Then that's it. She's kissing me back. I smiled in the middle of our kiss.

We are all drunk but still in our f*****g minds. Lisa sneaked her hands inside my shirt. Why is she so predictable? Lisa is still the same.

Now she's dominating me. She's sucking my tongue laying me on the couch.

"10!"

With that, I pushed her away.

She was shocked and I sit straight like there's nothing happened.

"Fuck." I heard her curse.

The two girls were shockingly amazed by what they just saw.

"You can now close your mouths, insects my get in," I said to them politely.

"And you .. hands to yourself, .. Manoban. Your girlfriend won't like it." I said to Lisa who looks unpleased with what I did.
