Chapter 12: The Visitor

“Good morning, Ms. Saoirse.” One of our house staff greeted me.
“Morning..” I said. Then I walked past her when I remember something. I turned around to look at her..our house help whom I have forgotten the name.
What can I do? We have more than 10 house staff, I just can’t memorize all their names since I don’t always deal with them, it just happens that Mimi is my favorite staff that’s why I know her name.
“Is Sacha around?” I asked.
Not that I am interested! I just need to know, because if she will be staying today, I will just go to a Mall or somewhere else since it is Sunday.
Well.. I just don’t want to deal with her.
“Yes Miss, she is at the pool area with her visitor.” She said and gave me a smile.
My eyebrow raised and she suddenly looked nervous.
“Visitor? Who?” I asked, but when she is about to speak, I raised my hand to stop her.
“Never mind, I will just check it, thank you,” I said in a formal and dismissive tone and she just nodded and proceeds to whatever is she doing.
Still, in my lingerie and silk robe, I went out to the pool area and almost stood frozen when I saw who the visitor is.
What is he doing here?!
I don’t know if I am going to be happy or annoyed.
My sister is sitting pretty in one of our lounge chairs with her cute long summer dress. And in front of her is the guy that I have been dreaming of!
How unfair could it be? When she can be with him anytime, while I almost beg for his time!
So I just stood there and watched them while I am being eaten with jealousy!
I know they are just best friends but it sucks, to be someone who can’t even come close to him!
Maybe they have felt my stares when after few minutes they have noticed my presence.
Sacha stood fast. She almost fell on the ground in panic, good thing Roux was able to catch her on time, or else she will be kissing the ground!
“Eloise!” She called me, her voice sounds as if she has been caught doing something bad.
She stepped forward to give space between them.
“Look who’s here?!” I said sarcastically as I almost glared at them both.
Roux was looking worriedly at my sister then when he turned to look at me, his eyes became blank and his face became cold.
How interesting!
“R-roux, just w-wanted to c-check on me, I m-mean..on us-“
“Save it, Sacha, I didn’t ask you to explain,” I said coldly before I turned my back on them.
I am bitter.
I know that.
And that is because I am jealous!
They are just friends and yet, the way Roux looks at my sister is quite bothersome!
It is as if he likes-
No no no.. that can’t be!
I must not think that way! They are just friends! And he is just concern with my sister! Especially when she has a twin sister like me! I think Roux will really be worried, for I know that he is aware of my infamous attitude!
I mentally cringe.
I was supposed to have my breakfast but I lost my appetite, so I will just go back to my room, not to sulk but to dress up, I will just go somewhere else to cool off before I see red!
Instead of taking the stairs, I decided to take a ride on our elevator. My room is on the third floor and I am lazy to take the stairs. As I went inside the elevator, I push the number 3 button and the elevator door is about to close when a hand suddenly appeared to the door that made the door automatically open.
My eyes went wide in surprise, especially when I saw whose hand it belongs to!
“Roux!” I exclaimed when he just pulled me out of the elevator.
I will surely appreciate this situation, being so close to him, and him holding my wrist if, first he is not dragging me, and second if I am wearing appropriate clothes!
He just dragged me towards his cars, that when my bodyguards saw what’s happening they almost attack him but I gave them a signal that I am okay.
Roux made me go inside his car. I followed obediently, because I want to, not because I am obedient!
I should be happy because finally, I was able to ride in his car! Finally! And I have been dreaming for a long time to sit in his passenger seat beside him!
But then, I am also annoyed at how he dragged me! Not only in front of my bodyguards but also in front of our house helps. And they all looked shocked because they are not expecting that I will just let him do that.
Good thing, Aldous and Atticus are not around or they won’t hesitate to stop Roux even I tell them that it is okay.
“What the hell?!” I said when he sat on the driver’s seat.
His face is dark and his jaw clenched.
He looks as if he is trying to calm down.
So I put my arms in front of my chest as I waited for him to talk.
He took a deep breath before he closes his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Stop, torturing your sister.” He finally said after he opened his eyes and glares at me.
My jaw dropped.
What did he just say?
“Excuse me?” I asked. Feeling a bit offended.
Though I am mad at Sacha, I have never thought of torturing her, maybe just.. guilt-tripping her but not torture!
He exhaled again.
Then he shook his head as he put his hands on the steering wheel.
“Look, it is not your sister’s fault-“
“Did she ask you to come here, and be her lawyer?” I cut him off and his head snapped back at me.
“Because that won’t work for me.” I sarcastically said. “I hate it when people lie to me, I hate it when they make me look stupid, so even when I like you.. I can still feel angry at you. So I have the right to be angry at the two of you!”
“What do you want?”
“Sacha knows what I want, and you can’t help her. She’s the only one who can give me the answer that I am wanting to hear.” I glared back at him.
Not because I like you, means I can't glare at you!
He shook his head looking so frustrated.
“You’re sister is miserable because you are mad at her-“
“Then, she should just tell me the answer that I wanted to know.” I stubbornly said.
His lips parted, then he shook his head.
“Let’s make a deal.” He finally said after several minutes.
I raised my eyebrow at him.
He cannot trick me. But, I wanted to know what’s on his mind, who knows it might be an advantage for me.
“Let me hear it.” I dared him.
