Chapter 14: Chasing Game

“Good morning!” I am smiling from ear to ear when Roux answered my call.
I heard him groaned when he realized that it was me.
“What?” he asked, his voice is still sleepy, maybe I woke him up.
I bit my lip to stop myself from giggling.
“I have an 11 am class, please pick me up.” I said sweetly and I heard him groan over the phone.
I was so excited to go to school today because of this!
“My first class is still after lunch!” he protested. His voice is sexier when he just woke up!
I pouted.
“Have you forgotten what you have said yesterday?” I reminded him and I heard his harsh exhale. "That you will do anything that I want?"
I heard him curse, maybe know he regrets his proposal. I smiled evilly. It is his idea, not mine, so he has to deal with it.
He can’t say no..and he knows that too well.
“Fine, I’ll be there in an hour.” He hissed and dropped the call without even saying goodbye.
But I don’t mind, because what’s important is that he will pick me up and drop me at school. So I happily went to my bathroom and took a nice long bath.
“Eloise, let’s go! We will be late!” Sacha called from the hallway.
It is already ten in the morning.
“Go ahead..I still need to do something.” I shouted so she can hear me since my door is closed.
I need her to leave early..
“What is it?” she asked when she appeared in my room and I shook my head so fast looking so defensive.
“Nothing that will interest you my dear sister, and hey..you forgot to knock” I smirked and she pouted.
“Sorry." she said and gave me an apologetic smile.
"I can still wait for..” she looked down on her apple watch. “10 minutes or maybe 15?..” she said with her brows furrowed. I think she is mentally calculating the time if she will arrive at her desired time or she will be late because of me.
“Nope! Just go ahead now..or you'll be late!” I insisted.
“How about you?” I rolled my eyes at her.
She knows so well that I don't like going to school early.
“Don’t worry about me, worry about your punctuality record!” I winked at her but she playfully glared at me.
I always teased her about her flawless record. She has never been late, like ever!
“Are you sure?”
“Yes!”
“Okay then, see you at school!” she said before she kissed my cheeks and went out of my room.
It is so funny that I have to scare her with her clean records at school! She is really such an obedient and good student!
Roux texted me that he is on his way, and it is a good thing that Sacha is not here anymore or else, she might come with us, or Roux will ask her to join us, which is not included in my plan!
I want to be with Roux alone.
So I patiently waited for Roux, while I am busy texting my friends, telling them that Roux will drop me in school and they are so excited and happy for me!
They said that they will be waiting for me and they will take a photo of us that they can include in their IG Stories!
“Miss Saoirse, Mr. Roux Dimitri is already here to pick you up,” Mimi said when I opened the door of my room.
“Okay, thank you,” I smirked and pick up my things before I went into the elevator.
I was expecting Roux to be waiting in the living room like what a good boyfriend does, but to my disappointment, I was told that he is in his car waiting.
What a killjoy!
“Good morning!” I greeted him as I went inside his car.
Roux Dimitri is frowning.
He doesn’t look as if he had a good morning!
But I just shrugged at that thought.
I wanted to kiss his cheeks like what a girlfriend does, to greet their boyfriends, or maybe on the lips?
But I wouldn’t do that, not for now!
I almost giggled at that idea!
“Where’s Sacha?” he asked.
“Already at school,” I said before I smirked at him.
He ignored me and just started driving.
He expertly hid his disappointment but I am an observant person, so I still noticed it.
“You have a lot of bodyguards, even drivers. So why do you have to bother me?” he asked when we are already on the road.
“Because I can!” I said and he glared at me.
“Kidding.” I giggled. “I wanted to be with you as simple as that,” I explained..
“We can see each other at school, and have lunch together you know..”
I smiled. That is so right, but I wanted to take all the opportunities that I have just to be with him.
“Right.” I said. “But, it feels different you know..you, driving me to school..I just find it so sweet..” I said dreamily.
But he ignored me.
“I have been dreaming about this you know?! And I can’t believe that this is already happening! I am so happy! And-“
“Can you please stop talking? I don’t want any noise in my car, understood?” he cut me off.
He is so rude.
My smile faded. I kinda feel offended. But I just nodded like a good girl.
Though I am not a good girl, and never have been.
But I will shut up because I can feel how sour his mood is.
I don’t want to push him to his limit because he might break our deal!
So I just pouted and stayed behave until we reach the campus.
He stopped in the drop-off area instead of going to the campus parking.
I turned to look at him, and he is looking at me as if he is waiting for me to go down.
"Why are we here? Aren't you going to park?" I asked in a confused voice.
"I am." he said in a cold voice.
"Then, why here?"
"Because I don't want anyone to see you going out of my car, they might misunderstand it," he said while his face is dark.
"So what?" I asked. "Since when did you care about other people's opinion about you?"
That is weird because he is the type of person who doesn't give a f*ck on other people's opinions.
He doesn't care about them.
So why now?
"Since today." he shrugged.
My lips parted. I think he is just trying to get back at me.
"What are you waiting for? You have to go or you'll be late," he said as if he cared!
I frowned as I went out of his car.
My mood suddenly turned sour.
This guy is really testing my patience!
Fine. Have it your way, because later, I'll have it my way.
I shook my head when he just left without saying goodbye.
"Go on.. just challenge me more..it will be a chasing game, and I promise, I will win this game," I whispered to myself as I look at his fading car.
