SOPHIE'S POV:
Finally!
Another day done.
"Hey S!" Trisha clung to my arm. "Wanna eat out?"
Gosh, this girl is already hungry, it’s only 15:30.
I grinned at her. "Sure! What do you wanna eat?"
She thought for a bit. "Maybe some ramen and sushi?" She batted her lashes at me waiting for my approval.
"Sounds good to me." I laughed.
"Sounds good to us too." A voice from behind startled us.
Trisha gasped. "Tyler? Luke?"
I kinda don't want to be with Luke right now. Tyler can come, not him.
I turned to look at them and gave Luke a glare.
Tyler was grinning at us, "Can we come?"
Luke was also giving me a glare. It's a glaring contest. "Only Tyler can co-.."
Trisha cut me off as she went in between the both of them and clung onto their arms. "What Sophie meant to say is of course! You both can come!"
I glared at the back of her head. If only glares are bullets right now.
"Sophie, let's go!"
~
We arrived at the parking lot.
"Let's just meet inside the restaurant." I said and grabbed Trisha's arm. "Let's go, T."
"Uhm, Soph. I don't-.." Trisha was cut off by Luke. "Whose car are you riding? We rode together remember?"
I felt my face heat up. I don't have my car and Trisha was driven here by her mother.
Clenching my fist, I let go of Trisha's hand and walked over at Luke's car. "Trisha, you go ride with Tyler. I'll ride with Luke. See you later." I opened the passenger's seat and went in.
They all laughed at me.
Gosh, that was embarrassing. I buried my head to my hands.
Luke went in the driver's seat laughing. "You lady, is never boring."
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up and just drive."
He continued laughing and drove off.
There was a sudden call on my phone. It's my mom so I answered it. "Hi mom. How are you?"
"Hi sweetie. We're okay here. How about you? Are you eating well there?"
I nodded although she couldn't see me. "Yes mom. I'm actually on my way to eat out."
I heard her gasp through the phone. "Are you driving? I'll call la-.."
"No mom, it's okay. I'm not."
There was a pause. "I can hear the engine sweetie. Who are you with?"
I bit my lip and looked over at Luke who has a smirk plastered on his face. Sighing, I answered. "I'm with Luke. We're-.."
"Are you two going on a date? Oh my! Okay, I'll call later."
"No wait, mom. We're going with Trisha and Ty.." she cut off the line. "..ler." I sighed.
Luke gave out a chuckle. "Well I guess this is a date now."
I shook my head in disapproval. "Dream on, jerk. We're going with Trisha and Tyler so this isn't a date."
"Your mom didn't think so."
That is true. She's gonna tell this to dad and Mr. and Mrs. Dawson and everybody will think this is after all a date.
"Just hurry up. I'm hungry."
He huffed a smirk. "Yes ma'am."
I blushed.
~
“Good food.” Trisha stretched as she finished her last piece.
I giggled at her, picking up my last piece of sushi with my chopsticks.
Yeah, that was good.
“Jey, I think they ate more than us.” Tyler nudged Luke and they laughed. I and Trisha can only roll our eyes.
I suddenly remembered we still had to pay so I dug through my bag.
“It’s on me.” Luke said and raised his hand to call for a waiter.
We left after Luke paid for our food. We’re walking up to the parking area.
Now what? I honestly don’t wanna go home. My parents are not there nor is my sister, it’s getting lonely.
Trisha clung onto me, “What’s wrong, S?” I was about to tell her nothing’s wrong but she cut me off. “Want me to sleep over at your house?”
I blinked my eyes at her. I think we’ve been friends for too long.
“Can you really?” I asked shyly.
She jumped a bit, “Of course! I just need to drop home real quick and get some clothes.”
I smiled at her, “Thanks, T.”
She gave me a cheeky smile and turned to the guys. “How about you guys? You’re parents aren’t home right? Wanna sleep over at Sophie’s until Wednesday?”
I knew it. I mean, sure, they’re not so bad.
“Tonight?” Tyler turned to Luke, “You good with that Jey?”
Luke only shrugged. This guy never decides.
Tyler turned to us again. “That’s a yes. We’ll drop off at home first and grab some clothes.”
I and Trisha nodded and we continued walking.
Upon arriving, I suddenly remembered something. “Someone has to drop off Trisha to her house too.”
There was a light pause from all of us until Luke spoke. “You can take my car and give Trisha a lift. I’ll ride with Tyler. We’ll meet you both at your house.” He shoved me his keys unexpectedly so I almost didn’t catch it.
I glared at him.
He winked at me. “You’re welcome, babe.”
Rolling my eyes, I muttered a quick “Thanks,” before walking to the driver’s seat side.
“Thanks Luke!” Trisha blew him a flying kiss before entering the passenger’s seat.
“Ty, the keys. I’m driving.” Luke clapped his hand to signal Tyler to throw him the keys.
Tyler laughed. “Not a chance Jeyden. Hop in.”
Before closing the car’s door, I heard Luke mutter “f**k you.”
I and Trisha laughed and I started the engine.
I opened the car’s window and honked. “We’re going ahead. Stop fighting and decide already. Thanks again, Luke! See you both later!” We drove off.
Trisha was laughing the whole time. “You’re finally liking Luke’s company.”
Glaring at her, I didn’t answer. “What’s going on between you and Tyler?”
She blushed, “What do you mean? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Mhmm, the pool and everything after that. What’s up?”
Fiddling with her skirt, she looked at me. “I’ll tell you later. Just drive, S!”
Took her long enough to tell me.
I laughed, “Fine.”
