Definitely Not Worth Telling

SOPHIE’S POV: “Why’d you leave me?” Trisha whined at me after we finished our first subject this morning. I gave her a ‘seriously?’ look. “I can literally feel the heat between the two of you. You even missed a button! Besides, I knew Tyler’s gonna give you a lift.” She pouted at me, “That was embarrassing, S!” I closed my locker and continued walking, she followed behind. “It was just the four of us, T.” I giggled. “So, tell me, is Tyler your boyfriend yet?” She blushed, looked down and shook her head no. My eyes widened, “You did it with someone that isn’t even your boyfriend yet?” Trisha panicked and covered my mouth with her hands. I shook it off, “What were you thinking?” “We didn’t do it! It was just…” she hesitated, “…just a foreplay.” I can’t believe these two! I continued walking again. Tyler better hurry up and ask her out, if not, I’m gonna punch him straight ‘til the depths of tartarus. Trisha and I continued talking while walking to our next class, Hanna suddenly caught sight of us. She blocked our way together with her minions, showing me the picture me and Luke took during breakfast. “What’s this?” I rose my brow, “A picture..?” I know what she meant but I decided to play dumb. Hanna rolled her eyes, “Yes, I know this is a picture but what are you doing with him so early in the morning? And what’s this, is this his house? What are you doing in his house? Are you two living together? What’s your relationship with him?” Okay wow that’s a lot of questions. I waved at her to move away and said, “That’s none of your business.” She grabbed me my shoulder and I immediately slapped it off. I can tell that hurt her but she didn’t whine about it. “I’m asking again, what is your relationship with him?” “She and Luke are dating. Now get lost.” Trisha took hold of my wrist and pulled me out away from them. I’m pretty sure that only made Hanna madder but whatever. And for some reason, I wanted her to get mad. I didn’t feel like disagreeing to Trisha when she said that Luke’s my boyfriend. Before Hanna can say anything else, our teachers came in. She just glared at me so I glared back. ~ “I’m drained!” Trisha whined, resting her back to the lockers. Her phone rang signaling for a new message. She read it before turning to me and telling me, “Tyler and Luke are at the cafeteria. Should we head there?” I gave her a shrug, “sure, I guess.” So after dropping all our stuff in our locker, we headed straight to the cafeteria. As soon as we were by the entrance, Collin spotted us so he nudged Luke and motioned us to come over. Trisha gave them a thumbs up so we went to get our food first. We sat down with the boys. I was next to Luke because he offered me the seat and I didn’t wanna look rude so I took it. We were laughing and eating because Chris was talking about how he and Cameron met. “Mind if I sit?” A squeaky voice said from behind me. I didn’t have to look behind to know who it was. No one answered but she still pushed herself in between me and Luke so I had no choice but to scoot away. Hanna clung on Luke’s arm. “Hey baby boo.” She greeted. “Don’t touch me.” Luke shook her hands off and scooted away a little. “What are you doing here?” She didn’t answer him, instead, she looked over to me and to my tray of food. Snatching my untouched yogurt and extra spoon. “I’ll take this.” Turning back to Luke, she offered him a spoonful of yogurt, “Say ‘ah’, baby.” Luke only gave her a cold stare. She’s such a pain in the ass and I’m in no mood for her. Cameron might have sensed my unpleasant aura so he spoke, “Go sit somewhere else Hanna.” Hanna glared at him, “Why? Is there a name saying this is yours?” “Hanna.” Luke warned her behavior towards his friend. She put the yogurt back to the table. “Fine, I’m leaving.” She stood up. “Hey babe, wanna go-..” I stood up too and cut her off, “No, stay. I’ll leave. I’m done anyways.” Lifting my tray, I walked away before hearing Hanna say, “Gladly.” “Sophie!” Luke called but I didn’t bother answering. Hearing a slam from behind, and Trisha’s voice saying, “Return this for me, yeah?” So I’m guessing she’s telling Hanna to return her tray for her. Trisha caught up to me. “You okay?” I didn’t answer. I returned my tray to the counter and we walked out of the cafeteria going to our lockers. The bell will ring in a few minutes so might as well head straight first. ~ The classes for this afternoon was done so I and Trisha headed straight home. We debated on our way if we should tell Tyler and Luke, I told her no but she insisted so we agreed on only telling Tyler and tell him not to mention it with Luke. Turns out, Tyler was also upset how he didn’t come after me when I walked out of the cafeteria. He told us they walked out a few minutes after we did and left the both of them. After the cafeteria incident, I haven’t heard of him nor saw him so I figured it might be best not to tell him. I immediately slumped my tired body on my bed. “Hey S, why don’t you get changed first.” Trisha told me. “You can go ahead first. I’ll change after you.” She nodded and went to the bathroom. I heaved a deep sigh. There was a honk downstairs so I figured that must be Tyler. He told us he’s on his way to my house too. After a few minutes, Trisha went out of the bathroom with a robe and a towel wrapped around her hair. “It’s your turn, Soph.” I nodded and went in the bathroom. I took a warm bath. Someone knocked on the door, “Hey S, I’ll be upstairs okay. You can talk to me anytime you want. I’ll just give you space for a while.” I smiled lightly, “Thanks, Trish.” I said through the door. ~ Finished my bath, I sighed and went out. Immediately checking my phone, there was 6 missed calls from Luke. My phone rang again so I answered it, “What?” “Where are you?” He said sternly through the phone. “Home.” I said plainly. “Why the f**k did you not tell me?” My mouth gaped open, “I didn’t even know where you were.” “Then you could’ve called or texted me.” I blinked out of anger. “I didn’t have to. I’m not your responsibility, Luke.” Sighing, I continued. “Tyler’s home too. So why don’t you just give Hanna a ride, yeah?” There was a pause, “Let’s talk when I get-…” “I’m hanging up. Bye.” I didn’t let him finish. He's not the soft and caring Luke that I met before but whatever.
