Mystery Kisser

SOPHIE’S POV: My day wasn’t so bad. My parents and Brianna are coming home today so I’m excited to go home. “Hey S, ready to go home?” Trisha popped up behind me. I smiled at her and gave her a nod. Trisha woke up early this morning to fix her up even though I told her she can stay longer, she insisted. So now, were off to take her things from my house and drive her to her house. At the moment, it’s only 15:18 and were on our way to my house. My parents are arriving by 15:30 like what they said. Tyler had soccer practice so Luke volunteered to take his stuff. I and Trisha are just going ahead. ~ LUKE’S POV: I arrived at Sophie’s house and at the same time, she’s off to take Trisha to her house. I went upstairs to grab Tyler’s stuff but apparently it’s all over the place. That damn guy, he’s gonna owe me for this. Sighing, I got his stuff ready.  After about 20 minutes, I finally finished. That guy brought a lot of stuff but doesn’t know how to clean. I dialed his number, surprisingly he answered. “You owe me.” I said plainly. I can hear him laugh, “Sorry Jey and thanks. I do owe you.” He dropped the call without waiting for my answer. Dumbass. Going inside my room, I stripped my shirt and picked up a clean shirt. The door burst open revealing Sophie. She went in without looking at me and even closed the door behind her. “Luke…” she trailed off as her eyes wandered down my stomach. Her face turned red and eyes went wide. I smirked at her as I called her name, “Soph.” She realized her actions. “Oh, I'm sorry. I should’ve knocked.” She turned around and continued whining. “You never answer the knocks so I didn’t bother.” I chuckled at her and quickly out on the shirt. “You can turn around now.” “Is it safe?" She asked. I nodded even if she still couldn’t see me. “Yup.” ”Did you put on your shirt?” “Yeah. What is it?” She faced me with her still red cheeks. "My parents just arrived and told me to tell you that you should eat before leaving.” I nodded so we both went down. Between the walk going down and little conversations, I forgot she has a cousin and a sister. A little sister. Little known yet obvious fact about me, I hate children. Yeah, hate them. Maybe it’s because I’m usually never around them or maybe because they cry and whine and ask stupid questions and throw their toys around and whine some more before asking more stupid of a question. And humans expect you to act differently around them just to stop them from crying and whining. I glanced at the little girl. She was staring at me with wide blue eyes, clasping her doll to her chest, “You!” Sophie’s cousin, Josh, jumped at her sudden proclamation while I rose a brow, “Me?” “You are mister handsome mean boy who threw Flora!” Oh look, she remembered that. That’s great. “Yeah.” “And he’s very sorry about that Brianna, right Luke?” I glanced at Sophie who was offering me to sit in front of her sister, smiling brightly. “Yeah cub, I’m sorry.” The little girl seemed to process my words, “No! You’re only saying that so Sophie will kiss you!” Josh choked on his food, Sophie turned into a bright shade of red and I glared at the kid. “That is so not why.” “Brianna! Why would you even think such things?" She exclaimed. “Aira says, boys do nice things for her big sister all the time because she takes them to her room and kisses them a lot. Mister mean person only wants the same thing.” I sat on the chair as Sophie and Josh looked at the little girl wide eyed. Josh seemed utterly lost for words. Sophie on the other hand has a lot to say, “I'm calling Aira’s parents.” Josh nodded silently. Brianna sank deeper to her seat, “No! Aira's my friend!” Sophie brushed Brianna’s hair, “No Sweetie. We just need to make sure Aira’s house has a good environment. You can still play with Aira, but maybe not in their house.” The little girl sulked, “Fine.” Sophie ruffled her hair, “But first, what’s Aira's last name so we can call her mommy and daddy?” Brianna blinked, “Williams...” I choked on my tart. Well that explains that. Sophie hurried over to me, giving me a glass of water. “Luke, are you okay?” I nodded, swallowing a chug of water. “Yeah, Sophie. I think your mystery kisser is Hanna.” She realized everything. Eyes turning wide open. “I’m telling mom and dad.” Sophie followed her cousin to the kitchen, “Brianna, be nice to Luke.” Brianna glared at me as they stormed out “You know Hanna? Have you kissed Hanna?” I laughed, did she really thought I’ll be scared with that look on her face. “No.” She crossed her arms, “Still. You're not allowed to kiss my sister.” I frowned, “I don't think that’s up to you, squirt.” “Sophie is my sissy. Hanna is a meanie, I know you're always near her. You have meanie cooties, meanies can’t kiss Sophie.” What the hell. I didn’t get anything that she just said. “I'm pretty sure Sophie will kiss me if she wanted to.” “But she won’t.” “Oh really?” I smirked. She smiled up, “Sophie's way too awesome for you. She’s pretty and nice and smart and can cook delicious. You’re only a meanie.” Why the f**k am I arguing with a 6 year old squirt? “That's why she’s way better than Hanna.” I told her. She huffed, “That’s why you can’t have her. Sophie said kissing is what it takes to go to the next level. I never knew what she meant but I overheard her saying it to boys and girls. When I asked her, she said she was referring to kissing. It confused me. But Sophie is smart so I know it’s true.” I blinked, “I don't know how to argue with that.” “Then start kissing Hanna and leave Sophie alone.” “But like I told you, she’s better than Hanna.” “She’s marrying a prince. You’re a froggie.” She scowled at me. I frowned at her. I definitely hate kids. I hate them. “What if I tell you a secret that can make Hanna leave you and Aira alone?” She looked up at me. “Then you’ll be upgraded to frog prince.” “A what?” “A frog that could turn into a prince. You know, in Princess and the frog. A princess will kiss a frog and it will turn into a prince.” I literally don’t get it so I only scoffed, “Hanna’s reaction to what I’m about to tell you deserves more than just a frog prince.” She hummed. “We'll see. So what is it?” I smirked at her, leaning down to whisper. “Next time Hanna is mean to you and Aira. All you have to do is tell her that Jey told you that he will never kiss her because he knew she’s a bad kisser.” “What will do that?” I shrugged, “She will run herself to her phone or maybe lock herself in her room and cry.” “Awesome! Why is she on her phone?” “To call and ask me.” She blinked, “And what will you say?” “That what you said is right.” Brianna giggled, “You must really want to kiss my sister.” “Between you and I, kid. I might.” She hopped out of her chair, “For your help with Aira’s sister, I will keep your secret.” Glancing at me, she pressed her finger on her lips. Sophie and Josh came back from the kitchen to see Brianna taking pictures of the house and herself with my phone. Josh rose a brow, “What are you doing with Jey’s phone, Bri?” She giggled, “He said I can play with it because he doesn’t want to join me and Flora with our tea party.” I’m not playing pretend tea. Ever. Sophie laughed, “Okay. Aira’s parents said that they will assure you to keep an eye on Hanna and her friends while you’re in their household.” Hanna is so screwed. Her family are nice and doesn’t agree with their teen daughter being a slut. Brianna gasped, “I can play there?” “Well yeah.” Brianna nodded before placing my phone on the table and sliding off her chair. “Well, I’m done eating. I’ll let you all have a big kid time.” She started skipping her way but stopped on the way upstairs. “Oh and sissy?” “Yes Bri?” Sophie asked taking a sip on her juice. “You can kiss Luke if you really want to. I like him.” I smirked. Both Josh and Sophie choked. I like this kid. She’s nice and smart for a manipulative brat.
