Xander heard Helena and he jumped out of the chair with twin daggers in his hands. He ran to where he heard her scream and saw a man holding her by her neck. His face turned from panic to serious anger as he threw a dagger at the man's foot. Daniel yelped in pain.
"Release her now!" Xander yelled as he drew another dagger and held them towards him.
"The next one won't miss, now release her at once!" He said as he stared the man down.
Daniel looked at the man who would dare to fight him. He smirked as he dropped Helena to the floor. Helena shook it off and watched the two carefully, making sure Xander wasn't getting hurt.
"What do we have here? A vampire wants to defy me? An angel? Just what are you?" Daniel asked with an arrogant tone as he stalked towards Xander.
Xander moved towards him as well, as he tossed both of his daggers at Daniel. Daniel easily dodged them, but was met with a fist to his jaw. Xander only used the daggers as a distraction to get in closer. Daniel flew back through three shelves of supplies, Xander kept up the pace and followed after him. Through the rubble, Xander was sent flying through the g*n case due to a hard kick Daniel had landed.. He tried to stand up but was locked in a daze. Daniel ran after him, picking him up by his throat.
"Squirm, you insignificant worm. You're just as pathetic and meaningless as that abomination," he said arrogantly as he held him up.
Helena looked up as Alexander grabbed Xander's throat. Panic coursed through her and her adrenaline kicked in.
"NO! Don't touch him!" She screamed.
She got up and jumped onto Daniel's back, putting him into a choke hold. He stumbled back, trying to slam her into things. She kept her hold on him, making sure he couldn't touch Xander.
"Keep your dirty f*****g hands off of him!" She growled.
"Get off of me you disgrace!" Daniel shouted.
She jumped off of him and held out her hand towards him.
"You know what I can do. You've never been the target, but you f*****g will be now. Don't mess with the people I love," she threatened.
A ball of fire flew out of her hand and hit Daniel in the leg. As he fell, she ran over to Xander, making sure he was okay. She looked over him, and when she didn't see any major injuries, she stood back up, helping him up in the process. Xander rubbed his throat a bit as he slowly got up. Helena looked at Daniel, her eyes narrowing in on him. She was about to lunge at him when Xander grabbed her wrist, stopping her.
"Helena, stay back and hit him with your fire. I'm going in close to fight him head on. Once we get a chance, we will light him up like a firecracker," he said as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
He glared daggers at Daniel as he got back up.
"Let's burn this mother fucker alive," he whispered into her ear before leaping off and ramming straight into Daniel.
They exchanged blows rapidly, but Xander got in a lucky strike with a knee to Daniel's gut. Xander jumped back as he saw a fireball fly towards them. He watched as the fireball hit Daniel on his legs once again. Daniel dropped to the ground as he glared at Helena with hatred and anger. She flung a fireball at his torso, but he quickly put it out. He stood up and immediately aimed for her. Xander noticed that he changed targets and jumped in the way, not letting Helena be the victim of his blows.
"Oh no you don't, mother fucker. Your fight is with me," he said as he kicked Daniel in the face, sending him flying back through the back wall of the store.
Helena was found speechless as she watched Xander, then looked over at Daniel as he stood up. She figured Xander was strong but had never seen his full strength. She knew Daniel was getting more angry by the second though, and worried for Xander.
"If he gets pissed much more, he'll kill Xander," she whispered.
Walking over to Xander with concern filling her veins, she had a plan. She had to act fast, as she knew Daniel could really hurt him, even potentially kill him.
"Don't try stopping me, just let it happen. Okay? I need you to trust me. If there ever was a time for that, it's now. Promise you'll trust me?" She said.
Waiting for his nod, she looked at Daniel. She knew Daniel acted purely out of anger, and she needed to trigger that anger.
"You just couldn't wait to come after me could you? You coward. You're scared of me and know I could destroy you! Weakling! You had to send others after me at first, and when they couldn't handle me, you finally realized you had to do it yourself. And that scared you- terrified you, even!" She yelled.
She knew he was going to explode, but that's what she wanted. Daniel's face became red with embarrassment and anger. She looked up at Xander and grinned a bit.
"You better trust me or this won't work," she murmured.
She watched Daniel closely, observing his muscles and when they tensed up. When she saw his legs begin to move, she turned around and wrapped her arms around Xander.
"You're nothing but an abomination! I'll show you a weakling! You're such a stupid little fallen, and I will end you!" He hollered back.
"Please work," she pleaded.
Her wings spread and wrapped around them like a shield as she waited for Daniel to deliver his worst blows. She had her doubts, but she was strongly hoping this would work. If it did, he'd be too exhausted to fight anymore and they could take him out. She looked into Xander's eyes, giving him a reassuring smile and nod. She held her breath, ready to take whatever pain she was about to receive from Daniel.
Daniel gave in to his rage and embarrassment, stalking towards Helena as he unleashed a flurry of attacks on her back.
"You wanna see a weakling? How about you get a taste of what I've been dying to do to you since the day you fell!" He shouted.
