FORTY ONE IN THE BLACKNESS of the sealed steel vault, D'Andre Walker awakened from his deep coma. His head slowly began to feel again. His eyes brightened, as if someone had turned on all the lights. Soft green glow everywhere. He could see things in the darkness, and he could move again. He looked at his hands, and he jumped up to his feet. Not just living in normal three-dimensional space, he felt like some kind of conduit between the world and the space of the dark energy.
