Chapter Nineteen As Wickford predicted, half an hour later they were on their way to Saville Row to get a costume for Jamie. “Do you have a decent pair of breeches? A coat?” Wickford asked as they climbed into his carriage. “No. I, er, I don’t,” Jamie was embarrassed to admit. What he didn’t say was that his nicest clothes had been sold to pay for food before he’d come up with the idea to become a footman. “Right, then. That’s first. Secondly, you’ll need some sort of costume,” Wickford said. “I’m thinking something simple. Perhaps just a cape and a mask.
