A week after Arya got the information about being wanted back home by her parents, she had to go home. She overstayed for four more days even though that was not how they agreed with her father, but she finally got the courage to go home. She had finally made up her mind to go home and that morning, they took a flight with her. She was Hayley, who also wanted to go home because she could not stay on her own back in Seattle, she was so used to Arya and the two were great friends.

“You know I have to go back home and look for a job or something. I can’t stay in Seattle forever, and you know I can’t afford to stay far away from you.” Hayley said to Arya that night as they packed in preparation for their flight the following morning.

“Yes, but maybe I should remind you that you will one day have to get married and you will have to stay away from me, so you had better start getting used to my absence.

“Yes, I know all that but you know me well, I am going to use this time, now that we are together and we are not getting married any soon, or are you planning on getting married yourself now that you have a company to run back in New York, you know?”

“I have never thought of dating again, let alone marriage, not after what Ivan did to me. I am not going to lie to you, I don’t even see any need of committing to a man who is going to cheat on you after all. I have money and I have a company to run back at home. That is enough for now.” She said with a bored tone.

Arya had never gotten over the fact that Ivan cheated on her and impregnated a girl and betrayed her, a relationship that ended immediately after she learnt the truth. Her parents were happy when it ended and she also knew it. Ivan was not the kind of guy that Arya’s parents wanted for their only daughter and their only child. His background was not pleasing to them, since they were the most famous billionaires back in New York, Ivan was just from a humble background.

Arya’s parents had tried their level best to separate the two but to no avail, they then hatched a perfect plan that they knew would. All they had to do was approach Ivan, offer him a lot of money, which they knew that he was in no position to deny, since his parents were just struggling to pay his college fees and then look for a pregnant girl to match their plans and it worked out perfectly. It was just by good or bad luck that Arya never got to know what happened and if she knew, they were not even sure if she was ever going to forgive them for what they did to her, but like her father Danson always said, they were doing it for her own benefit. All they were doing was for her and no one else.

“Okay Arya, I know you are still mad at the fact that Ivan cheated on you but it has been four years, that is long enough to get over him and move on. You are beautiful, brave and you have everything that a man could ever want from a lady. I don’t know what is stopping you from getting yourself a good guy and moving on with your life. Not every man is like Ivan, and I don’t think all men are the same. There are good men out here, all of you. All to do is get out of your comfort zone and say enough is enough, go out."

“Okay, okay Hayley, I get your point, you have been saying the same thing to me, day in, day out, I don’t know why you keep on insisting that I should get a man. I am okay, the way I am and I don’t think having a man in mh life would make me complete as a lady. I am complete already, I don’t need no man in my life, I have got the money, the appearance, the papers and everything, isn’t that what every woman wants in life?”

“Of course, yes, you are right, but a man makes you complete. You know what I mean?” She asked and Arya laughed before responding.

“Yes, I know exactly what you are trying to imply, but I will tell you one thing though, I am okay the way I am honey, you and I both know that, and if. If I wanted a man to be who I am, then I would definitely go out there and look for him myself, because you yourself don’t even have your own man. You are just as single as I am, I don’t know why you are pressuring me and yet you are single.” She asked, and Hayley shrugged.

“I don’t know, I am just trying to look out for my best friend, you know?”

“You should start for yourself then. Anyway, I am not ready to date yet and when I am, you know I won’t fail to tell you, you know I got you right?”

“Yes, you always say that to avoid the topic. Anyway, I will not dwell on it and spoil your mood for tomorrow, so I was meaning to ask what your father's plan is about running the company. You have no clue what goes on there. Remember you have a clue or two, remember you have to know how things are run there and how many times you stepped on your foot in that company on the way?”

“I don’t even remember the last time I was in there, but no problem because dad said I would be told everything necessary; you know my dad’s PA?”

“Yes, of course, that slender lady with an attitude. How can I forget her and the way she acts like she owns the whole company or as if she has shares in the company? I tell you, I hate that b***h. You remember the grand opening that happened at your company some few years ago?”

“Of course, how can I forget that? What did she do to you, huh?” she asked with a small laugh and Hayley sneered.

Hayley was this type of lady that hated anyone for no reason, she always had an attitude and the only person that blended with her was her best friend and her child's hot friend, Arya.

“I can’t remember, but I just don’t like her.”

“You like no one, Hayley. I am not even surprised. That is not new to me.”

“I don’t need a reminder, I know, but anyway, were it not for you, then I wouldn’t have gone home. I don’t like arguing with my mom 24/7, she is always a b***h sometimes.”

“But she is still your mom and I don’t think it is okay to call her a b***h, because, what are you now? Twenty-four or twenty-five? You are old enough to move out of your father’s house and live in your own house, which is your mom’s house, so I don’t see any reason why you don’t want to go back home.”

“Urgh, I knew you were going to side with them. ”

“Yes, just like you always asked my parents, I think it is a fair game.”

“Whatever.” She said as they finished up with the packing and, after chatting for a little while longer, they finally went to bed to rest as they waited for the following day.

“Have you figured out a way of how you are going to disclose this news to our daughter Arya?” Ruth asked Danson, the same night before they went to bed that night.

She was afraid of what Arya would do or say if she learnt about what they did without her consent. It was either that or their company was not going to succeed.

They needed help and that was the only way through it.

“My wife, I have so much in mind right now to think about, despite Collymore gave us a few more months to talk to Arya. I am sure we will have figured out a way to talk to her by then. I know she will be so mad about it but she will eventually forgive us for the decisions we made without involving her or talking to her about it."

“Yes, that I know, but you don’t know Arya that well. I think we should tell her after she has taken over the company, because if she gets to know that before, I don’t think she will even want to take over the company.”

“Yes, that is a good idea. Did you call the event planner about tomorrow’s event?”

“Yes, I know Arya has about six hours before she gets here, so she will be done by then and I know I am not supposed to tell her, but it is supposed to be a surprise.”

“Good, I hope she will be done by then. You know how I don’t like the last-minute rush? Plus, don’t forget I have a meeting in the morning with some of my business associates, so I won’t be around for most of the morning hours.

“Don’t worry, everything will be okay, just go to your meeting. You know I can handle this.”

“Of course, I trust you.”

The two parents were planning a surprise welcome home party for their daughter and the first time they were introducing her to the world as the new and the incoming CEO of the Whitlock Home Smart Realty LLC company, Arya was not aware of her parents’ plan yet because they wanted to surprise her.
