The college romance

Chapter 8

Sanjh’s POV

As Aviraj dropped me home I went inside just to be met with the most sweet aroma of the freshly baked fruit cake. And at the same time I saw my mom coming out of the kitchen with the cake in her hands.

Mom: Sanjh you came , I was waiting for you . So tell how was your first day at College? Did you made new friends? Did you met any handsome guy?

Sanjh : mom take a breath and my day was good but I couldn’t make new friends as of now but I happened to meet a handsome guy. ( I said the last line under my breath but mom heard it)

Mom: what, I want all the details ( mom said excitedly)

Sanjh: mom calm down 

Mom: what calm down . Don’t try to ignore the situation miss I am not going to leave until and unless you tell me everything about that handsome guy . It’s not like my daughter everyday mentions about a handsome guy.

Sanjh: okay okay but that handsome guy happens to have a name.

Mom: and what would that be?

Sanjh: his name is Aviraj Saxena.

Mom: Aviraj Saxena as in Siya and Lalith’s son.

Sanjh: yes

Mom: and you like him?

Sanjh : mom I just met him today . I don’t know if I like him or not and even we did not had the right start.

Mom: what do you mean you did not had the right start.

That’s it I told her everything that happened today

Mom: it’s okay Sanjh , things happen and he even apologised to you for his behaviour, didn’t he? And even offered lift to you and dropped you home safely.

All I want to say is if in case something happens don’t hold back and give him a chance

Sanjh: okay mom I will. I love you mom , thank you.

Mom: love you too . Now tell me you are attracted to him right?

Sanjh: yes kind of .

Mom : okay . Now don’t think much about it . If it would meant to happen then it will .

Sanjh : okay mom, now can I have a piece of this cake .

Mom: first go and freshen up only then you will get the cake.

Sanjh: okay give me two minutes I’ll be back.

                           Priya’s POV

I can’t believe my baby is all grown up and she likes Avi . I can’t be anymore happy. They both would make a really cute couple . I wait to share it with Dev . ( In the meantime Dev and Krishna returned home from the hospital)

Thank god you both came . I want to share something with you both.

Krishna: what happened mom what are you so excited for?

Dev : I have never seen you so happy , now tell me what happened.

Priya: our Sanjh likes Avi

Krishna: what ? How is that even possible?

Priya: that I don’t know . But she told me that she likes Avi after returning from College and she was so happy , you should have seen her Dev , she was glowing as if she achieved something in her life.

Dev: I am not surprised. Don’t you think it was supposed to happen. It was in their destiny. Did you guys forget how they used to be in their childhood.

Krishna: how can I forget dad. I used to be so jealous of him as Sanjh only used to care about him and at that time they were only just 6. 

Dev: yes, that was the only reason we decided to keep them apart for so many years but seems like they again found their way to each other and now we not stop them.

Priya: yes you are right Dev. That time they both were young but now they are mature and will understand their feelings towards each other and we should not come in between. Whatever decision they will make , we will support them . 

Dev : yes , we will support them.
