The college romance

Chapter 10

Sanjh’s POV

As soon as the last lecture ended I made my way outside the class and in the process I bumped into someone and all my books fell and scattered on the ground . Without looking at the person I mumbled an apology and bend down to gather my books but I saw another hand who was also gathering the books I look up to see the person and I saw a boy whom I have never seen before . But I must say he seems somewhat creepy, I know I must not judge a person without knowing him but I can’t help it , I was getting very negative vibes from the guy and the way he is looking at me I am feeling very uncomfortable.

I gathered my books fastly and looked up to him and said sorry once again . I was about to walk away but he held my hand , I was trying to break my hand free from his hold but doesn’t seem to leave my hand . 

Sanjh : could you please leave my hand.

Boy: and why would I do that.

Sanjh: excuse me , what are you trying to say?

Boy : I must say you are really pretty, would you like to go out with me.

Sanjh: I am sorry mr. but I really need to go so it would be better if you leave my hand ( I replied rudely)

( but I guess he had some other ideas , he didn’t leave my hand but instead started coming close to me)

( I was getting scared and the hallways were also clear , there is no one whom I could ask help for)

Boy : what is your name beautiful?

Sanjh: Are you deaf , I said leave my hand and stay away from me.( I said raising my voice)

( he was about to say something but someone else held my hand which was in his hold and separated me from him and when I saw the person I was relieved as he was none other than Aviraj, I don’t know why but I trust him and I feel comfortable with him)

Aviraj: didn’t you heard what she said , I am warning you stay away from her and don’t you ever dare to cross her path again or else you would see the worst of me, understood?

Sanjh: the guy left without answering him but not before giving me one of those creepy looks which says it didn’t end here.

I was literally shaking.

Aviraj: Sanjh are you okay? 

( he asked with the most concerned voice and I couldn’t help but melt after listening to his voice and without thinking anything I hugged him tightly and cried on his shoulder)

Aviraj: shh shh it’s okay , he’s gone , you are okay.( he said trying to calm me down)

Sanjh : I was so scared Avi , thank god you came , he was really creepy.

Aviraj: hey it’s okay , come on look at me everything’s fine and I won’t let anyone harm you.

Sanjh: promise?

Aviraj: promise ( he said with a big smile and hugged me once again and I hugged him back , it felt so good to be in his arms )

Come on now give me a smile 

( he asked and I smiled unknowingly)

Sanjh: Avi please don’t say anything about this to anyone , they will get worried and will also postpone the movie plan . I don’t want it to be ruined because of me. Everyone seemed to be very excited about this.

Aviraj: Sanjh if you are not feeling well they won’t mind to postpone it  .

Sanjh: no Avi I don’t want them to postpone it because of me and I don’t think I will be able to join you guys today , I  not feeling well and if I will go like this I will spoil your day as well and I don’t want that and moreover I didn’t even asked my parents about it yet . I think you should join them I will go home and rest .

Aviraj: Is your dad coming to pick you up?

Sanjh: no I drive to College today , so I will go by myself. You don’t worry I’ll manage.

Aviraj: no way I am letting you go by yourself, just look at yourself you are looking so weak . Come I will drop you .

Sanjh: no , I can take of myself.

Aviraj: I know you can but please , do you really think I would be able to enjoy myself knowing you not feeling well and went by yourself. Tell me , would you have left me alone if you knew I was sick and I might need you . No right? Then how can you expect me to leave you alone when you are not emotionally stable and crying continuously for the pat 15 minutes.

( I didn’t even realised that I was crying till now until Avi pointed out)

Sanjh: okay but you will drop me in my car.

Aviraj: as you say ma’am 

We reached Parking and saw that everyone has already left . 

Sanjh: Avi where is everyone? Did they already left.

Aviraj: actually we were waiting for you in the parking lot but when you didn’t arrived. I asked them to reach the mall and I will bring you there with me . So they left.

Sanjh: they must be waiting for us then.

Aviraj: Don’t worry I already left a message that you are not feeling well and I am going to drop you home.

Sanjh: Thank you so much Avi for what you did today , I don’t know what would have happened if you wouldn’t have come to look for me. I don’t even want to think about it.

Aviraj: then don’t think about it and just relax.

And I love hearing you say Avi .

( I couldn’t help but blush)

Sanjh: I am sorry I didn’t realise I was calling you Avi. 

Aviraj: Don’t be . And I want you to call me by Avi itself okay?

Sanjh: okay.

Soon we reached in front of my house , I was about to get out of the car but then I suddenly realised he didn’t brought his car here , he came to drop me in my car.

Sanjh : Avi how will you go back home , you didn’t bring your car here.

Aviraj: Sanjh don’t worry about me , I will manage , you just take care.

Sanjh: no Avi you are not going anywhere, you are coming inside and will stay , after sometime bhai will come and he will drop you home.

Aviraj: Sanjh it’s okay I will manage.

Sanjh: I don’t want to hear anything, you are coming inside or else I won’t talk to you.

Aviraj: okay okay let’s go.

( me and Avi went inside he greeted mom and I must say mom was really very happy to meet him , mom asked me to take him to my room and we made our way towards my room. I was a bit nervous as it was the first time a boy was going to enter in my room but at the same time I was glad it was Avi)

Aviraj: I must say princess, your room is very nice.

Sanjh: Thank you ( I replied shyly)

             Please make yourself comfortable.

Aviraj: of course ( he said flopping on my bed)

Sanjh: so tell me something about yourself.

Aviraj: what do you want to know?

Sanjh: anything. You know right we don’t know much about each other.

Aviraj: yeah I know but I don’t know why I feel like we have met before and we have a bond that goes way deeper. Don’t think I am trying to flirt with you . That’s just how I feel , I know it’s confusing but I can’t help it.

Sanjh: you know I felt the same way , when I first saw you but I didn’t know what it was . It was like everything stopped.

Aviraj: I have an idea.

Sanjh: what?

Aviraj: let’s play 20 questions, what’s say? 

Sanjh : okay , that way we can know each other better.

Aviraj: right . I’ll go first.

So , what is your favourite colour?

Sanjh: black and purple . Yours?

Aviraj: red. Favourite holiday destination.

Sanjh: Ooty 

Aviraj: any specific reason?

Sanjh: I like the weather of that place and I love hill stations, you know snow and nature attracts me.

Aviraj: you know , you are very dreamy .

Sanjh: is it a bad thing.

Aviraj: not at all. 

Sanjh: okay now my turn, what do you like to do in your free time?

Aviraj: I love to play guitar.

Sanjh: that’s really nice . Will you play it for me sometime??

Aviraj: sure princess why not.

( at the same mom called us for snacks)

Sanjh: come let’s go or else mom would not stop until we reach downstairs.

Aviraj: okay

( we both reached downstairs and saw dad and bhai were there as well)

Dad: Sanjh how are you Priya said you are not feeling well. Are you okay?

Sanjh: yes dad I was feeling a bit low but now I am fine.

Krishna: Sanjh you should take care of yourself.( he said and side hugged me)

Sanjh: okay bhai I will take care of myself.

Dad : Avi son how are you? And thank you for taking care of her.

Aviraj: I am fine uncle and please don’t thank me , we are friends and it’s my responsibility.

I think I should leave it’s already late mom , dad would be waiting for me .

Mom : no Avi how can you without eating anything.

Aviraj: auntie some other time . Promise.

Krishna: come on Avi , have something, then I’ll drop you , I know you didn’t brought your car . Sanjh already informed me.

Aviraj: okay 

( we all sat and had snacks )

Aviraj: okay uncle, auntie I’ll take a leave now and please come home soon it’s been long you didn’t visit us.

Dad: sure son we will.

( then he made his way towards me)

Aviraj: bye Sanjh, take care .

Sanjh: byee

( then bhai went to drop Avi to his house)
