Nykkol prov. The door opens and Eric is in the doorway.           “I’m sorry to interrupt your class Mr. Drivins but could I speak with Nykkol for a moment?”  “You can.” I get up and I’m having a hard time not running over everyone to get to him. Mate mate mate look Nyk its our mate. Calypso was super excited to see him I was too, but this could have blown my whole mission, so I was pissed as well.           He closed the door and we were in the hallway he put his hands around my waist and I instantly stopped being mad at him and the electric sparks moved from his touch to all over my body.           “I missed you.” His voice was cracking like he was holding his sadness in.           “I know I’m not supposed to come see you, but I have to warn you Ryder has sent me to Salem to see this witch that knows about her family. You must get the alpha to tell him the truth. He is mad that her father is keeping secrets from him.”           “Why can’t he understand maybe its to protect her and his pack.”           “Its not like that its like her father doesn’t trust our alpha.”           “Okay that’s for the warning I’ll see what I can do on my end.” He looks at me longingly and dips his head so he could kiss me on the lips. When our lips connected my whole body felt numb and I wanted more but he pulled away. As we kiss, I play with his tongue ring with my tongue.           My fingers tangled in his dark midnight hair that’s styled as a side swept emo style to the left-hand side, and he put his hands on my waist. His muscles hugging the shirt he was wearing daring to rip it off him. He has a surgical steal eyebrow earing on the right-hand side. He has a wolf pack tattooed on his right arm from his shoulder to his wrist. His eyes are a breathtaking light jade green.           We pulled away realizing that we were holding our breath Eric looks sad by he says, “I’m sorry but I have to go please be careful.”           I stroked his cheek with my thumb “I’m more worried about you. Promise me you will stay safe.”           “I will come back a soon as I can.” He turned and walked away only looking back one more time I walked back into class just as the bell rang. Zahra came to me with a concerned face, “everything alright?”           “Yea my mate is going on a dangerous mission.” “Oh, I hope he comes back safely until then if you need a friend I’m here.” “Thanks, you’re a rock star”                    Eric’s prov.           I know I shouldn’t have done what I did, but I had to see her one last time before the long mission. Red is mad we had to leave but he understood. I must get started I have a forty-hour drive to Salem.           I got to the parking lot and saw my 2026 Chevy Corvette Stingray. The color is a burnt orange and black, and on the inside of the car its all leather black with a built-in screen GPSadio. As I turned the car dark blue lights come on shining underneath the steering wheel and the seats, and on the passenger side. It purrs loudly as I take off down the road to my destination. Before I get out of the town, I stop at a gas station to feel up my car. ‘ding’  “Welcome to Super Stars” the cashier said. I grab a soda and head to the counter. “Anything else I can get you sweety?” As she asked me the question I just shook my head. The cashier was an older woman around her late forties to early fifties. She was wearing too much make-up that it looked like she was a clown. She was wearing a red apron with the stores name in white bold letters. Her had a black shirt on and her snow-white hair was curled. The only thing that was interesting was she had half green half blue eyes. Which meant she was a witch. Then I thought of a something else I came here for, “yes, ma’am may I have twenty on pump 5 please.”           “Oh, course my dear.” “One more thing ma’am, you wouldn’t happen to know a Mr. Corvus?”           “Ah yes he lives in Salem in the woods all by himself. I will warn you young man he’s not what he uses to be he’s more of a lunatic who always rhymes when he speaks.”           “I appreciate the warning and the directions.”  I left of fill my car with gas and then I headed to Salem. As I’m driving, I’m listening to dark orchestra music while thinking to myself so, he’s a lunatic who rhymes this should be very interesting. I laughed when Red thought about the same thing I was at the same time.           It was getting dark around seven in the evening. I decided to go for a few burgers and four things of French fries for dinner. I ate while driving it comes naturally to eat and drive when most of my missions are this long of a distance. By the time morning arrived I was in a different state by the time the day is over with I should be over halfway.           ‘Bing bing’ My gas gage was alerting me that I needed to put more gas in it. It was a good thing to because I was needing to use the restroom to freshen up and, I needed more snacks for the trip.           I stopped at a gas station called The Machine. I walk through the door and as always, I heard a bell ringing indicating that someone entered the story. Then I heard a familiar female voice, “hello and welcome to The Machine.”  The cashier yelled from the other side of the store.           I didn’t pay any attention to her because I was eye balling the donuts and honey buns. I quickly whipped the drool that was sliding down to my chin. I grabbed ten donut packets and fifteen of the honey buns. I grabbed four bottles of water and one bottle of cold coffee. I headed up to the cashier who was looking at me and then at my snack. “My dear, how do you keep your figure like a male model with this much junk food?”           I looked at the cashier and I realize she looked the same as the other cashier from the Super Stars gas station.           “Oh….um its not all for- didn’t you work at a Super Star gas station.” I immediately linked to Red, Red what is going on?           He growls and says, something fishy is going on here that’s the same girl only a little bit younger. “I must say you are smarter than most werewolves.”           “Are you following me or stalling me from seeing Mr. Corvus? If the answer is stalling, I would suggest stopping that immediately” I said with anger.           “Oh threatening an old lady, are we? What if I was to say I have some answers to the questions you seek?”           Red then tells me, I don’t like this Eric I smell danger I know Red but let’s see what she has to say I blocked Red out of my mind so I could focus on the woman, “I’m listening”           “It’s about the mystery girl. She is the savior of the world, so my friends and I ban together to help protect her, however I have a question for you. Why are you seeking Corvus about her?”           “How do I know I can’t trust you with the information that I give you.”           “Mr. Corvus is a second cousin by blood if your alpha trusts in my cousin surely you can trust me.”           Not good do you want me to contact Fenrir? As Red tells me this he was right. However, I had to hear what information the witch ha, No, she’s right if Ryder trusts Corvus then I must trust is second cousin here as well. I told Red so he would be less annoying.           “I will tell you but after I tell you, you will need to come with me to Mr. Corvus’s house.”  “I will agree with your terms. Now what do you want with Ms. Zahra” “We can’t talk here its not safe enough” I looked around after I said that. She went to the back and another cashier came out. She came out without the apron and in her normal clothes. “Come this a way I have a secret passage that leads to a safe place to discuss such secrets.”           I followed her to the woods Red was becoming really antsy I pushed him deeper in my mind so I could concentrate on where we were going. We stopped at a rusty old door that was almost covered in vines that look poisons. “This is a witches safe house before we go in promise me that you will not tell anyone I rather not use a spell on someone that can become an ally.” I replied, “I promise to never come here nor to speak of where this location is for the safety of your kind.”           She opens the door accepting my promise. Witches have a special talent on seeing who is lying and who is telling the truth. Inside the underground shelter was two rows of beds about twenty in each row. There was a big table assuming it was used for meetings and to eat on because there was no room for an office or meeting area. There was a small bathroom to the left of the shelter.           As for lighting there where a damp yellow light hanging next to each bed and one in the bathroom, also above the table. It looked like no one has been here in years. Every piece of metal is all covered in rust the sheets are old and run down.           “I know it’s not the best place but it’s a safe place” She says as she sat down on a chair and I sat across from her.           “Now please explain why you want to see my cousin and why are you so interested in Ms. Zahra.”  “My alpha wants to know what our ally is hiding. My alpha trusts our ally with our secrets, but when an ally keeps important information from us and yet wants our help for protection of finding someone we like to know why.”           “I see so you want to know what Jack is hiding. Now what does this have to do with Zahra?”           “Zahra is am assuming this mystery girl…well from what I gathered from my wife, she was attacked, and she was very sick. A normal werewolf shouldn’t have survived the attack and the sickness that followed.” She nods and then states, “I understand, so for you all to help Jack more you first must understand what the Blood family is hiding. Yes, my cousin has been with them from a few generations. Let’s go see my cousin besides I’m due for a little visit myself.” We got up and walked to the door before she opened it, I wanted to ask her, “This is bothering me I didn’t mention anything about Jack I didn’t even know the name about this mystery girl. How did you know?”           “Something bad happened to my family and I moved in with my cousin for a while until I found my own place, I knew Jack when his first born was about three months old.”           “Well I hope what I have provided to you was helpful as your information was helpful to me.” We walked out and got into the car I turned it on but realizing I never paid for the gas and snacks that was still at the counter. I quickly run in and pay for the snacks and gas. I also bought some actual food for the witch that was going with me.           “Before we begin on the road, I never got your name.” She simply said, “My name is not important what is important is saving Zahra from the evil that has found her.”           I shrugged and started heading towards the Salem once again.           “Before you ask ma’am, I don’t plan on stopping unless we need food or use the utilities, and gas.”  “So, you haven’t slept sense you have been on the road? Well that will change tonight you need to sleep before you go to Salem. Its not the place to lose your focus and not have any awareness.” I augured with her, “I really don’t have time to stop but I also don’t have time to argue so we will stop at a hotel for the night.”           “Thank you, young man my old body needs to rest when it can. Its not like your over halfway there we only have out two to three miles by the time night falls among us.” She was right I have drove a little over a whole day. Red was even getting on my last nerves about being rested up for what is to come as well. As I drove night fall came sooner then expected we where so caught up of what was happening in todays world to what we might have to overcome. I pulled into a nice hotel that looked like a two-story ranch house. It was Red and white like a classic barn. From the outside it really looks like only cows and horses maybe sheep’s and pigs reside there. However, when you walk inside the front door it was more modern hotel design to it. It had a staircase with red carpet in the middle of the stairs leading up to the second flooring. The stairs where made of a white marble with grey veins in it. There was a front desk man dressed in a tuxedo looking at us as we arrived. As I look around everyone is dressing in fine and expensive clothing. The person at the desk spoke, “Pardon me Sir are you lost?” Red growled, Great this guy thinks we are poor and unfit for this hotel grrrr let me scare him until he pisses himself.           I had to calm down Red again, Easy Red remember we can’t let humans see what we truly are.           I push him in the back of my mind and walk up to the desk. I pull my wallet out filled with hundred-dollar bills. “How much is it for two hotel rooms. With a king size bed, a master bathroom and a mini fridge?” The man laughed and said, “Well Sir your request is in a high price rage, might I say, too high for you and your lovely mother here.” The witched laughed at his statement. I thought to myself, great now she my mother can this day get just a little bit better sighing I pulled out two thousand dollars in cash.           “Will this cover the expenses and wash your way of thinking of others, or do I need to pay more for that?” He was shocked and stuttered,  “I…I…I apologize sir about my behavior what is your name so I can check you two in.”           “Eric Masters” I told him. He types the information the computer prompted him to while looking at the two thousand I was giving him. Red linked me again, Money greedy male stripper that’s is name to me. Red be nice I know his eyes are bulging out of his sockets but at least we get to sleep. That’s true but I love the name I gave him.  As he gave us the keys to the hotels, “I hope you two enjoy your stay here.” At this moment I let Red take over my voice, “Thanks money greedy male stripper”           The look on his face was priceless when Red called the man what he truly was. We headed to our rooms I opened the witches’ room for her and went inside to make sure no one else was in there it had everything that I asked for in the beginning.           “Okay ma’am I’m going to be in the room across from yours so if you need anything please fell free to knock on my door.”  “Thank you, kind gentleman.” I turned and headed to my room and instantly fell asleep after I plopped on the bed. I woke up with a knock on my door.  “Give me five more minutes please.” Another knock “PLEASE FIVE MORE MINUTES”           A louder knock this time around “OKAY OKAY IM COMING” I open the door not realizing I had no shirt on and I was just in my boxers.           “What the f**k do you want.”           A female waitress was turning red from what she was looking at. She then spoke in a flirty way, “Well aren’t you just I gorgeous hottie with a hot temper.”  “I apologize for my attitude towards you, and I don’t think my wife would like your compliment that you said. Then Red popped off, Nykkol would have ripped her head off and played with it like a soccer ball.  I will not argue with that that’s why I love her she’s sweet but feisty.           “I brought you breakfast.” She says as she hands me a tray on a rolling cart.  “Thank you here take this as a tip for my rude ass and for giving me breakfast.”           I gave her a hundred-dollar bill and closed the door after I pulled the tray inside. I took the silver lid off and I saw pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. Its not as much as I normally eat, but its something that smells delicious. After eating and taking a shower I got dressed and went downstairs. The witch was waiting for me there I turned the key in and left. We drove for at least four more hours in silence.  “Welcome to Salem home sweet home”           “This is Salem?” I asked her because I was confused on why she said those words.           “Yes, head for the tallest hill and at the top is Mr. Corvus’s house.”           Salem wasn’t too pleasing for the eye to look at. With was all dark no color to anything. The grass that is supposed to be green is brown. Tress are naked and their bark that shows is dark. The houses didn’t look so good either they were run down old looking and painted in dark colors. Cemetery’s covered most of the town. Some trees where twisted and they become sick looking as I ascended the hill.           On the very top of the hill I see what looks like a backyard with a bench next to a twisted tree that looks like a hand with claws reaching for whomever sits there. The house was the only two-story house that was painted bright colors only it looked like the house was painted hundred years ago. “This is his home lets go.” Thanks to the sleep my senses are high-end, and I was aware of my surroundings. She rang to doorbell and the door creaked open.
