Chapter Nine
I get out of the shower and pad across the room, relieved to hear the TV on in the other room even though I already asked Elias to stay. It's not just because I want to spend time with him either. Or that I feel a bit wrong after my trip into the place that's supposed to be harpy's paradise.
Some of it is fear for him. He lives on his own, and if Regina is capturing male harpies, then he's going to be in danger. I'm not even sure if she knows that's what he is. She's seen me shift, but I can't remember if she found out about what Elias and Pippa are during the rescue.
I feel like a fool for sharing as much of our plan with her in the first place. Everyone's been telling me that it's fine, but I know I made a stupid mistake that I wouldn't have if I'd had more experience. I
