ALLARA
I stared up at Reid, hardly daring to believe that we were back in this space, where anything was possible. Where we might get our second chance.
His hands were warm on my face. The look he gave me was blazing, and it heated me right down to my toes.
I turned my head to the side slightly, sliding my own hand up to cover his, and kissed his palm gently.
“Let’s get out of here,” he breathed. I raised an eyebrow at that, and he said, “Just for a little while. Not for good.”
A grin spread across my face as I caught on to his meaning. Our special place.
My wolf surged up, ready to spring free.
With a seductive smile, I slipped out of his arms and padded over to the kitchen’s back door. I opened it and stepped with bare feet out into the sunlight.
