Hotel Policy

The manager looked utterly confused, wondering what Sebastian was talking about. “I don’t understand,” he finally managed to say. “What exactly do you not understand? There are only two of us in the presidential suite, and I want her out of there. I want the entire floor to myself, and money wouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind either,” Sebastian stated, gesturing towards Jeff, who stood behind him, holding a suitcase. Jeff hurried towards Sebastian and unlocked the suitcase, revealing bundles of dollar bills. “I want her out of that suite,” Sebastian reiterated. The manager gulped upon seeing such a large amount of money. Gathering his composure, he adjusted his eyeglasses and said, “I’m sorry, sir, but that’s against hotel policy. She booked that suite a month ago. I can’t ask her to leave.” Sebastian chuckled, shaking his head. “There's no policy a reasonable amount of money can’t take care of. So, name your price, and I would willingly pay. All I want is that woman out of that floor.” The manager shook his head in disapproval. “I’m very sorry, sir, but we don’t accept bribes. I can’t bend the hotel policy; I can’t do what you’re asking of me.” Sebastian stared at him in disbelief. “I'm very sure that she cannot afford that suite. You're having an affair with her, aren’t you?” he inquired sharply. The manager gasped in shock. “That’s not true, sir. Miss Ashford is only a customer, nothing more.” “Then why the favoritism? You were supposed to throw her out of the hotel last night, but you didn’t. Instead, you took her to the VIP section of the restaurant. We both know she can’t afford such. So, tell me, what exactly is going on here?” Sebastian demanded, looking increasingly upset. “We treat all our customers equally, sir. Like I said before, I cannot please you to displease another customer,” the manager insisted. “Then I will leave your hotel and never set foot here again. I will ensure to bring this establishment to its knees,” Sebastian threatened, his tone firm. The manager gasped in shock. “You’re taking this too far, sir. It hasn’t come to this.” Jeff scoffed. “Take this money and do exactly what Mister Sterling has asked you to do. It’s as simple as A, B, C. Why are you trying so hard to upset him?” “No one is trying so hard to provoke him. Your silly boss here is the one who has refused to stop being childish. He should accept the fact that I would never stoop to his level, no matter how hard he tries,” Raven interjected as she walked into the office. They all turned to her, surprised to see her in the manager’s office. Sebastian's gaze met hers, and he couldn’t help but admire her beauty. He had been too upset earlier to take a moment to appreciate her simple but gorgeous appearance: her long brown hair cascading down to her waistline, and her cat-like eyes that made her look as though she was half-asleep, though she wasn’t. Indeed, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met. Jeff’s voice cut through his thoughts, forcing him back to reality. “How dare you? Are you so mannerless as to walk into this office without a proper invitation?” “I don’t need an invitation to come into the office of the manager of the establishment I am patronizing,” she retorted sharply. Sebastian stood up. “Then I was right after all. You both have something going on.” Raven gasped in shock. “Excuse me?” “Do you dare to deny it?” he pressed further, raising an eyebrow. “You’re getting this all wrong, sir,” the manager explained. “We'll see about that when I leave a bad review on the hotel’s social media handles,” Sebastian threatened. Raven rolled her eyes in disgust. “Goodness, you’re such a crybaby.” Jeff gasped in disbelief at Raven’s comment. He turned to Sebastian, expecting him to issue an order against Raven, but Sebastian only grunted and turned to the manager. “If she doesn’t leave the presidential suite, then I will leave this hotel. Imagine what a bad review from Sebastian Sterling himself on your social media handle would do to this hotel. I give you one week, and it will be closed down.” The manager glanced at Raven, who had both her hands folded across her chest. “I’m sorry to disappoint you, sir, but the hotel policy stands,” he insisted. Sebastian nodded, realizing that the manager had made his decision. “I wonder what the owner of this establishment will do to you when he discovers that you have been freely giving out the hotel presidential suite to your lovers. I can’t wait to see you lose your job.” The manager remained unmoved, taking a deep sigh. “Like I said before, Miss Ashford is only a customer, and we treat all our customers equally. You’re accusing me wrongly, and that’s against the law. This is defamation of my character.” Sebastian nodded. “Very well then, goodbye, Mister Manager, and welcome to a horrible life on the streets of California without a job,” he declared as he dashed out of the office. Jeff pointed fiercely at the manager. “You’re going to regret this, I assure you of that,” he warned, then glanced at Raven, who had her gaze fixed on him. “As for you, my boss will make you pay dearly. You will be sorry you ever crossed paths with him,” he added and hurried off before either of them could respond. As Sebastian moved his belongings out of the presidential suite with the help of his bodyguards and hotel porter, he wore a stern look. He climbed into his Bentley Mulsanne, fuming with rage as he waited for them to load up his belongings into his car. Behind him, three other of his cars were parked: a Maybach, BMW, and Huron APC. Jeff slid into the front seat of the car. He knew Sebastian was upset and was willing to do anything to please him at that moment. “I want to know everything about the owner of this hotel. I need that information before the end of today,” he ordered. Jeff nodded immediately. “Yes, Alpha. Is there anything else you would like me to do for you?” he asked. Sebastian nodded, his teeth gritted hard. “Get me everything on Miss Ashford. I want to teach her a bitter lesson,” he said, his anger palpable.
