"Come here, join us, you are mine, you are ours, your body is mine, you belong to us, you are mine."
I suddenly woke up from a bad dream, so I immediately went to the bathroom to wash my face. It's been months, but I still have the same dream. They keep calling me. Life went back to normal, but I can’t say it’s really normal.
Because I have so many bodyguards around me, it's okay for my safety, but I feel like at any moment, my auntie will show up and take me away from my parents again.
I didn't have any friends in school because I was so distant from the people around me. I always isolated myself, afraid that they might hurt me too. My case is still being solved. They haven’t found my aunt yet because she went into hiding after the club where we worked was raided. They sensed it coming, so they left me behind, but not before beating me and leaving me bloodied.
I thought that was the end for me, but it wasn’t. I was in a coma for several days. When I woke up, my family was complete, and I was free from the hands of evil people.
But the trauma is still here. I can’t accept what happened to me. I couldn’t handle it. There were even times I hurt myself just to feel something, to feel pain.
But with the love and support of my family, I slowly recovered. I learned to love myself more. Even though I couldn’t get the justice I deserved, it was okay as long as I had my little angel who brings joy to my family and me.
Celestine Amanda Alejo.
An angel who was born from my womb. At first, I didn’t want her because she was conceived by those vile men, but it wasn’t her fault that she came into this world. I grew to love her deeply because I realized she would be my source of strength. I will take care of her, just as my parents once took care of me.
I will give her the life I never had. I will be a good mother to her.
10 years later, Celestine is all grown up, and I finally achieved the justice we’ve been seeking. I have forgiven all the people who hurt me. I have become closer to God, and I even found someone who loves me despite everything that happened.
I am now a licensed flight attendant.
"I love you so much, Amanda, you and Celestine. I will love and serve you both for the rest of my life. I will protect you from anyone who tries to hurt you." Marcus kissed my forehead and hugged me and Celestine.
"Thank you, I love you and Celestine." I whispered, then hugged him
Everything around me turned black. I started screaming, calling out their names"Marcus! Celestine!"—begging for help, but there was no one. The darkness swallowed me whole, and my voice echoed into nothingness. I felt cold, my heart racing as fear gripped me tighter.
Then, I heard the voice again, harsher this time.
"HEY, AMANDA! Sir is coming, and you're just sleeping around, moaning for no reason, huh?"
I jolted awake, drenched in sweat, my heart pounding against my chest. The dream—it felt so real. My hands were trembling as I sat up, trying to catch my breath. I glanced around the room, my surroundings slowly coming into focus. The familiar voices is now clear.
It wasn’t just any dream—it felt like a warning, a haunting echo of the past. The voice I heard… I knew that voice all too well. The one that once controlled me, tormented me. It was her. "Auntie"
I clutched my head, trying to shake off the lingering fear. "No, it’s just a dream," I whispered to myself. But deep down, I knew—something wasn’t right. That darkness, that voice, i feel like i knew themed
"Did you hear? That Tourism student, Amanda, committed suicide in the other building because of depression. I think she had mental issues. Hey, Amanda, she has the same name as you, but you're Amanda Jane, and she’s Amanda Lousy,"my classmate said, her words shocking me.
Without a second thought, I ran towards the building she mentioned, my heart racing in my chest. As I approached, I saw a crowd forming, people whispering and looking on. I squeezed my way through until I saw what they were all staring at.
Lying there, lifeless, was the girl from my dream.
"Amanda, wake me up… please!"
My voice shook, but no one seemed to hear me over the murmurs of the crowd. The girl from my dream, survive but in real life darkness get her.
