Creepy

**** Brazen's P.O.V. **** I pulled up outside of Symphony's apartment and nodded for Bear to go home. He had taken the first shift watching her house. I felt more comfortable with one of my blood brothers watching her. According to the club's bylaws, since she had not been appropriately claimed, any man could pursue her. I parked my bike and sat on it, wondering how to approach Symphony about this situation. If her ex shows up, and she finds out, I helped lead him here. She's probably going to hate me. I usually don't care what women think, so this is something new to me. As I'm waiting, the door opens up, and Symphony comes out the door. She has a pink sports bra, pink and black Nike leggings, and pink and black Nike flexes on. Her hair is in a tight bun on her head, and she's got headphones on. She looks like she's going for a run. It's already dark outside. Why would Symphony be going for a run this late? She has no regard for her safety. Small towns get crazy people passing through and, on occasion, living within the community. I got off my bike and started to follow her. She's running pretty fast, but I still don't want her to see me, so I keep a light jog without getting close. After a few minutes, she cuts between an old barn and a house. "What the hell is she doing?" I thought to myself. As I turned the corner. Smack! I unexpectedly took her full right palm across my face. It rocked me, and I took a step back. " Why the f**k are you following me, you fucken creep? " She yelled. She tried to lift her left arm this time, and I grabbed her wrist. She went to counteract with her right hand, and I grabbed that wrist too. Holding both of her wrists, I pivoted and pushed her up against the side of the barn. "Why the hell did she smack me, Symphony ?" I growled, not nearly as mad as it sounds, because I found it all arousing. " Why the HELL are you following me, Brazen? " She yelled, furrowing her eyebrows and squinting her eyes. She's cute when she's mad, and I'm turned on that she decided to take on a big man like me. I leaned into her body, stepping in between her open legs and pushing my groin tight against her body. When I do, I can hear her breath hitch. I leaned down towards her ear and whispered, "I was following you because I was trying to keep you safe." My hot breath blows in her ear, causing her body to shudder. "I don't need your protection," she lets out with a moan. " Get off me, Brazen," She yells. I step back with satisfaction because I know she wants me. I can tell she is turned on, just as I am at the moment. " First, let me say you are the most confusing man I have ever met in my life. First, you stare me down when I get off the bus with the most expressionless face I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't tell if you hated me or wanted to f**k me. Then at the bar, I think you will talk to me, and you walk right by me like I'm invisible. When I'm ready to leave, you pack me out bridal-style to my car, then out of my car. When we get to my house, you drop me off in bed at my house and leave. You don't say one word the whole way home. Then you decide to run behind me for protection, but don't take those noisy ass keys out of your pocket, so I can't hear you the whole time," Symphony says as she turns to walk back towards the apartment complex, shaking her head and looking exhausted. We walk back in silence. I don't know what to say, and I can tell she is still pissed at me. When we get to her apartment, we stand there for a minute. " Brazen, do you want to come in for a drink? " She says meekly. " I don't drink," I say. " Not even water? " She asks, raising one eyebrow. " Yes, I drink water," I said with a smile, feeling my heart quickening because she invited me to her house. She must not think I'm too creepy. I think to myself. She motions for me to have a seat while she goes and gets our drinks. I looked around the room. You definitely would not think she has over a million in the bank. She hasn't added much to the apartment beyond what Mr. Young provided. She comes back with two wine glasses, one full of water, and one empty; she also has a chardonnay bottle in her hands. Shorty told me she likes it, so I made a mental note for later. " I'm sorry, but I find it odd that you're in a motorcycle club and don't drink." She says with a snort as she's sitting down. " I'm the enforcer of the club. I have to be at my best. I take my job very seriously. "I don't drink, and I adhere to a strict diet and training regimen," I tell her, shrugging my shoulders. " I find it very odd that you served me water in a wine glass, but nobody's perfect," I say with a smile. " Touche Brazen, Touche," she states, laughing. I love to see her laughing; it's like she doesn't have a care in the world. She does, so maybe that's what makes it so beautiful. My mother always smiled, even when she was in pain. " So why do you feel like you needed to protect me, Brazen? What's going on? Don't think I didn't see Bear outside earlier because I did," She says, looking concerned. I'll have to talk to Bear about being more inconspicuous when doing a stakeout, I think to myself. "Maybe we should hang out for a bit and have some fun. "We can always talk another time," I say, winking at her. " Well, Brazzzzen, that was a nice try, but it got you nowhere. "Answer my question," she says with a disapproving look. (Sigh) "Well, you are probably going to hate me after this, but here goes. I wanted to know more about you, and I could tell you had a story and wanted to find out more. So I had one of my club brothers look into you. Just the basic stuff: arrest record, family, financial records, that sort of thing." I say, waving my hand dismissively. We sat there in silence for a few minutes. I couldn't tell what she was feeling. "GET THE f**k OUT," Symphony yells. **** Symphony's P. O. V ***** "I can't believe you thought it would be okay to go digging into my personal life, " I say, yelling so loud my voice begins to waver. He stands up and begins walking to the door. His face is back to being expressionless. "Well, there's something else I should tell you," Brazen says with regret in his tone. " While we were looking at your background, someone logged into the system. We were not 100% sure they could trace the IP address back to the club. "Which means whoever was looking for you knows yours in this area, most likely. " He tells me. " Am I being punked? " I asked annoyingly. " Yes! I've got to be getting punked. "It's like a new girl hazing thing, right? "Surely this is a trick," I say, looking at him, pleading for it to be a joke. "It's not a joke, Symphony, " Brazen states. I detect sadness in his voice. " Well, that's just great. I tried to start over and leave all of that mess behind me, and now it's going to follow me anyway. Most of what you found out, you could have just asked me. You had multiple opportunities to ask me. "Instead, you go off playing super sleuth and causing trouble," I say. " Do you think it was your ex-husband?" Brazen asked. " Of course. I'm sure you saw he had just started a company in internet security. He's pissed off because the prenup said if he cheated, he would get nothing. They dropped charges against me in hopes of blackmailing me to get half of my money. "I found out right before I left, they had a baby on the way," I say, letting out an exasperated sigh. " I guess I can't run forever. "What's the worst he can do? " I say, shrugging my shoulders. " Symphony, you don't have to run or worry about the worst he can do. We will protect you. I know I shouldn't have dug into your past. I know it would have been a lot easier to ask you. They don't call me Brazen for nothing. I have always been extremely bold since I met you, though I've been anything but bold. My brother told me they should have named me lame because I haven't been living up to my name lately. "I'm sorry, to be honest, I've never met a woman I wanted to get to know before I met you," Brazen says, with his brown eyes staring down into my eyes. I feel like he's staring down into my soul. Despite what Brazen has done, I'm still very attracted to him. I also appreciate that he assigned people to take care of me; it is not something he had to do. I stepped closer to Brazen until our bodies were touching, and I pulled his head down closer to mine until our lips met. He put his hands on both sides of my face and pulled my face closer. We began kissing frantically. Our tongues were in a fiery frenzy, passionately fighting each other. I kept running my hands over his bald head, loving the smooth feeling. He picked me up, not breaking the kiss, and I wrapped my legs around his body. He walked over to the couch and sat down. It wasn't exactly where I thought we were going, but it will do. Just then, there was a knock at the door. We break away panting, trying to gain composure. " I think you'd better open the door. "We have a problem, Symphony," Mr. Young said, his tone sounding very distressing.
