CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO 1 Peter was angry. As he took point in their drive across Maryland, he had many long hours to gnaw on his wrath, a slow-burning rage that grew steadily as the miles sped past and his thoughts lingered on Garrou. Though his anger had been rising for months he’d kept it a well-hidden secret from Angie. Peter knew if she found out how furious he was, Angie would fear his actions might be based on emotion, driven by rage, and could take matters into her own hands somehow.
