A/N: I’m back at it again. Thank you for being here. Now, without further ado, please do enjoy this week's short chapter until I get my computer and can write some more. (◑‿◐) JEREMY’S POV I was walking around the kitchen cleaning up my latest meal when Genevieve entered from the living room. At first, I didn’t think anything of it until she cleared her throat, causing me to turn and look at her. “Where is Liberty?” she asked after getting my attention. “In her room, the second door to the right up the stairs, why?” I retorted. “I just need to ask her something, thanks,” she answered as she left the kitchen, walking up the stairs and into the door I had directed her towards. It seemed a bit weird that she would care to talk to Libby, but I let it go and continued to clean up the mess I had made earlier. As long as she didn’t upset Libby, she could talk to her as much as she wanted for all I cared. Forty minutes later, I was seated on the living room couch and working on some papers for the pack. Eve still hadn’t come out of Libby’s room and I was beginning to wonder what could be the cause of such a lengthy talk. Twenty minutes ago, I tried knocking on the door with no response. Then, ten minutes later, I had tried listening in on their conversation, but it appeared that Eve had put a silencing charm on the room preventing me from hearing anything but faint mumbling. Another thirty minutes went by until she came out, this time with Libby behind her. This was the first time Libby had come out of her room since the accident two weeks ago and I was really happy to see her in daylight for the first time since her resurrection. As they were walking down the stairs I could smell she had taken a shower and it made me even happier. I was hoping this was showing a shift in her as she had refused to take care of herself these past two weeks. Apparently, she was under the impression that she didn’t deserve anything, apparently, and the only food I managed to get her to eat was food I forced in her. I was seriously wondering how Genevieve had managed to inspire such a change in her when they arrived downstairs. It was then I noticed the huge suitcase they were carrying between them. I gave them a confused look and Genevieve took a big breath. “What’s going on?” I asked, unsure of what they were doing packing Libby’s suitcase. “I’m taking Libby with me to England,” Genevieve said as casually as if she was simply announcing she was taking a trip to the supermarket. “What? Why? I can’t let you do that!” I was getting slightly riled up, not wanting to be separated from Libby again. This time it was Libby who answered me, “I have to go… I… I can barely deal with what happened on my own, I can’t take it anymore… But Genevieve’s coven can help me. They have witches and wizards that know about my… condition. They can help, and I desperately need that.” She was looking desperate and I knew I couldn’t hold her back from going. “Okay, I’m coming with you,” I said after a moment’s consideration. “No Jeremy, you can’t. You have a pack to lead. I’ll bring her back as soon as I can, don’t worry,” Genevieve said, allowing no room for discussion. “But Jasmine-” I was cut off. “Isn’t a trained alpha and does not know how to run a pack, you know that just as well as me. That and the fact that the pack won’t accept it and can’t be without you for too long. You need to stay here and let Liberty get the help she needs, without you.” Genevieve finished, and I knew she was right. I nodded and stepped up to Libby, hugging her tightly, smiling as she returned the hug. “Be careful and come back as soon as you’re done, alright?” I said into her hair and she nodded in response. Stepping away from Liberty, I turned to Eve, “Take care of her, alright? I want her back in as good as, or better condition as she is now, okay?” she rolled her eyes at my overprotective nature. “Yes, of course, Alpha. Not a hair on her pretty head will be touched,” her response was somewhat sarcastic, but I knew she meant it. Reassured, I led them to the door and watched as they got into Eve’s car and drove off. Immediately my head was filled with thoughts of what could go wrong during her trip, as well as how I would be coping with her being hours away from me by plane. Please let her be safe, Moon Goddess. I can’t live without her. In an attempt to distract myself I went back to my work, spending hours finishing all the papers, although the time spent could’ve probably been more productive than how it was actually spent… Just as I was finishing up and planning to head out for a quick workout before bed, Jasmine stormed into the room. Quickly getting up from the couch, I asked, “What’s going on?” the hesitation clear in my voice. She looked riled up and answered quickly, still out of breath. At her response, my face immediately darkened. Anger from the immediate past resurfaced. “We’ve identified Libby’s killer and know who gave the order.”
