Called by the Siren

Chapter 7: Safe

Bee woke up feeling like her brain was full of treacle. She hated been sedated at the best of times, her body always seem to have a bad reaction to it. She sat up and winced as she felt her head pound. Her eyes slowly came into focus that she realised she was in a room that she did not recognise. The room had a black floor, white walls an the walls was various pop art prints. Bee sighed she hated the style with a passion, but that was the least of her issues right now! 

Bee looked out the window and recognised it was the London skyline. “At least that is something!” Bee thought positively as she investigated the three doors in her room. Behind one door was a bathroom, the second a large walk in wardrobe and the third was locked. Bee looked down, someone had changed her into a white nightdress with spaghetti straps. She went back into the wardrobe and was surprised to find clothes in her size. Bee quickly got changed into black legging and a t shirt.

Bee notice her bracelet had gone, which told her that her kidnappers knew what they were doing. Bee looked round the room for something to protect herself, as far she concerned who ever had done this had declared war! 

Bee spotted bedside lamp and quickly went over to investigate. She took the plug out the socket and disconnected the power cable. Bee now had a garrotte and she felt a little less helpless! It was just then she heard the lock being rattled. Bee quickly ran and put herself flat against the wall next to the door. She had the lead with the plug at the end, ready to swing it at who ever came through the door. Bee hoped it was Viktor, so at least she could pay him back a little for the headache he had given her.

The door opened and Bee did not wait, she swung the cable with the plug at the end with all her might. It made contact with the person’s chest.

“Ahhh she is awake!,” A voice said but Bee was too determined to get out of the room for it to register. She banged the man on the back and they facepalmed the floor. She felt someone behind her and suddenly felt a strong pair of arms wrap round her. Bee struggled madly trying to escape but the person held on tightly.

“Minnow it is OK! Calm down, you are safe!” A familiar voice said.

“Ethan?! Is that you?” Bee said she said trying to turn round.

“I adore the way you can tell us apart even when you can’t see our faces!” Ethan purred and Bee relaxed. Ethan released is hold a little and Bee turned round to face him. She was met with the deep blue eyes and her body suddenly became very aware of how close she was to him. Her heart began to beat faster and her breathing became rapid. 

“You are OK, you are safe....I would never let anything happen to you” Ethan said 

“We would never let anything happen Bee” Aiden said who came into the room. Bee saw Aiden and she put her arms round him.

“Thank you for saving me!” Bee said genuinely.

“Your eye, are you OK?” Aiden said in a worried tone. Bee’s eye was swollen and bruised. She waved her hand dismissively and said “I can see out of it and I have had much worse!”  Aiden put a finger under her chin and moved her head up so she looked into his eyes.

“It is completely unacceptable and they will pay” Aiden said in a voice that made her almost feel sorry for Viktor!

“I am fine, don’t worry - it is a sea gang issue and I will deal with it” Bee said firmly. Sexy Aiden might be, but she was not going to interfere with her syndicate’s business!

“Urgh, I am fine by the way!” The man on the floor said after coughing a couple of times. Bee gasped and pulled away from Aiden to help the man up. 

“Gosh, I am so sorry!” Bee said as she helped the man to his feet.

“Don’t worry, James should know better then walk into a Siren’s bedroom without warning!” Ethan said firmly.

“Oh, thanks for that Ethan!” James snapped.

“I am really sorry, I thought the Black Dolphins had captured me. I would never have attacked you if I had known!” Bee said in an apologetic voice. 

“You are one hell of a fighter and Ethan is right. I am James Light by the way, I am Kurt’s second in command. I have heard so much about you and it is a honour to meet you!” James said with a dashing smile as he offered his hand for her to shake.

“Only good things I hope!” Bee said shaking his hand.

“Very much so!” James said with a wink. Bee was surprised when she heard a couple of growled come from behind her. James’s eyes widen slightly in surprise before his lips curled into a knowing smile.

“So it is true, the twins had fallen for the Siren! I hope she is strong enough to handle them!” James thought as he let go of her hand.

“Isn’t there something you have to do James?” Ethan asked firmly.

“Actually, we all have something to do. Siren, would you do the honour of joining the King and Queen for breakfast. I am ordered to tell you that there are hash browns!” James said smoothly.

“Hash Browns?” Bee asked.

“And bacon!” James confirmed.

“Well, lead the way my good man!” Bee said. 

James bowed and offered Bee his arm to hold before saying “May I?”

“You may!” Bee said playfully as she hooked her arm through James and walked out of the room.When they left the room, the Twins looked at each other.

“Brother..” Aiden said.

“Yes, I know..we must tell her how we feel soon. We cannot let her escape from us!” Ethan said and Aiden nodded. They needed a plan and a good one at that!
