Chapter 64: Innocence
Bee woke up the next day still feeling happy about the previous night. The twins had been attentive, thoughtful and romantic and Bee could not wait till the second date. She would have to wait, as today was the day of Alannah’s birthday party. Bee was on security duty tonight and was not looking forward to it. For a start, she would have to face Kurt and the Marsh Harriers. Bee knew that Kurt was desperate to talk about the tax the Sea Gangs had put on all goods entering their ports. However, Bee knew that unless this kidnapping situation was resolved, her sea council would never agree to it. She could order them, but she'd rather not have to.
