Chapter 68: Run!

As soon as the alarm was sounded, a ripple of panic went through the women. It was then that they heard a strange whistling sound, followed by a scream and a thud. Bee looked around and saw a woman with an arrow protruding from her back. The light had gone from the woman’s eye, and Bee knew instinctively she was dead. In the distance, she heard the group of men roar in jubilation at the first kill.

"We need to find cover!" One of the women screamed as the group kept running.

"No, we need to keep moving!" Bee instructed the group as she desperately scanned the area. "There had to be a bog or marshland, it was a moorland, for God's sake!" Bee thought.

"Wrong! The only chance for us is to stay away from the Siren. They want her, not us!
