Ally is a grad student working as a waitress in a pub. She's never considered herself anything special, so why does this man in the suit keep eyeing her like that? She's noticed him looking between her and his phone all night and steals a glance to see if she can figure out who he is. Her stomach drops when they make eye contact and she quickly breaks away from his powerful gaze. Fate hasn't brought her just any man, but an Alpha. Ally is about to learn that she is anything but ordinary.

Something Missing
"Oh god, don't stop!" Daisy moaned from in front of him. Jason continued to thrust into her from behind, his hips slamming into her firm round bottom. He couldn't deny it, Daisy was hot, though most shewolves were, but coming from a long line of Gamma's gave her an aura of power that added to her looks and made dominating her so much more fun. He tugged on a fist full of her hair, pulling her head back and to the side to nibble on her neck. She moaned again, twisting her fingers into the bed sheets and he felt her walls tighten on him as she approached her climax. Throbbing, he pushed into her harder, sending her over the edge. Her screams filled his bedroom. Thank goddess this place is sound proof, he thought. The last thing he needed was someone to catch them together. Using her hips for leverage, he continued pounding into her, giving her no rest, until he felt his own orgasm building. Daisy writhed beneath him and he tossed his head back. There was nothing he loved more than complete control and she was at his mercy. Slapping her a*s, Jason pulled out with a grunt and finished on Daisy's back. Breathless, she lay on her stomach as Jason flopped onto his back next to her. "Well that was fun" he smirked at her. Daisy raised her eyebrows and gave him a cocky grin. "Isn't it always?" she chimed back, pushing herself up from the bed and swishing off towards his bathroom to clean herself up, before reaching the door she turned and drawled "I know what you like Alpha, and exactly how to give it to you." Jason chuckled, she's right he thought putting his arm behind his head, they did have their fun, but there was nothing more than that. He heard Daisy turn on the shower and stretched out on his bed waiting for her to finish. If he left the room with her still there he ran the risk of one of the Omegas coming in to clean, and how exactly would he explain Daisy in his shower and his sheets smelling of the two? Unfortunately, however, this gave him time to think. Like any Alpha, he was strong and physically dominated most other wolves in the pack. Standing taller than the other males in his family at 6'8, Jason was an intimidating sight for any creature, but he felt incomplete. Tangling his fingers in his shaggy blond hair, Jason closed his eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. His father had been on his case more than usual lately and it was really starting to get to him. "Just take a chosen Luna son, you're 24..." his father's voice echoed in his head and he squeezed his eyes shut tighter. It had been six years since he had come of age to take over the Buck Moon pack and though they were the largest pack in the area by far, Jason's delay in taking the title was causing talk in surrounding packs; his father saw this as a sign of weakness, and soon others would as well. At first they could blame it on his going away to school, half of the reason their pack was so large was their successful investment and law firms. Now, however, he was regretting choosing finance over law. His MBA had only taken an additional year instead of three, but his brother Connor really was more cut out to be a lawyer than he was. It had been tradition for the highest ranking pack members to run their investment firm with the packs' current Alpha, Beta, and Gamma sitting on the board of directors and the younger sons of the ranked families would handle the law firm, but Jason was really never one for tradition. Well, except for one: the mate bond. Werewolves, like most shifters, mate for life and the moon goddess blesses each wolf with a fated mate. Legend says mates represent the duality of the soul. A werewolf has their wolf and human halves to create a whole being; a fated mate is all the parts of you that are missing. Wolves are stronger with their mates, but chosen partners cannot compare to a gift from the goddess. Alphas tried especially hard to find their fated mates since, similar to their physical abilities, the connection and subsequent strength was that much stronger. An Alpha without his fated mate would never reach his full potential and seeing his parents together while he was growing up, so happy and in love, this was something he wanted more than any title. This was exactly why he had been insisting on delaying the transition of the Alpha from his father. In order to take the position of Alpha, one must first take their Luna. Usually, if an Alpha hasn't found his mate within the first two years after coming of age, he will choose a mate and assume his role within the pack, but Jason refused. He remembered the first fight he had with his father before coming back from school; his dad wouldn't look at him for a week and didn't speak to him for a month. His mother, however, was a softer soul. She truly believed in the mate bond and wanted that for her eldest son, so she convinced her mate to give him more time. While Jason delayed the move home from school as long as he could, he'd been back for nearly a year. As he listened to the water running from Daisy's shower, he thought back to his eighteenth birthday when, honestly, he'd thought Daisy would turn out to be his mate. Goddess, why couldn't it have been her? Everything would have been so easy! They had always been close: her younger brother was to be his Gamma and was one of his best friends, she was attached to his twin sister at the hip. It just would have made sense. Truthfully, he had thought of taking her as his chosen mate a few times, but she wouldn't allow him to. She knew that wasn't what would make him really happy and she never wanted him to feel the pain of rejection as she had. He loved Daisy as one loves an old friend and his father continually tried to convince him that love would grow to more if he made Daisy his Luna and offered to help "persuade her" to accept him. He cringed at the thought. He would never buy a mate, and even if she did have a change of heart and accepted him readily, there would always be something missing. Waiting for her to finish in the shower, a million what-ifs raced through his head and Jason slowly slipped into sleep.
