The One And Only

I was working at the restaurant during my usual shift, I don’t make a lot at this time in the night, but I like it, the calm peaceful air floats into the kitchen and seems to wash away all of my worries. That is until the phone rings and nearly scares the s**t out of me. “Damn I thought I could get away with another day of having people not waste my time.” I thought sadly. Geez people really piss me off. Except my brother. I mean seriously people don’t even have to try to piss me off and yet succeed every single damn time.“CRIST,” I shout. I got distracted again and the phone dragged me out of my day dream. “What can I get cha?” I ask in an unfriendly tone. “I’ll have an americano express, please.” The costumer asked in an even tone without any trace of emotion. For a moment I was taken aback at how he didn’t react in a bad way to my obvious annoyance. “U- Um su-r sure” “Can I get a name?” I ask gathering my composure. “No.” I hear and then the line goes dead.
