TODAY, AS ALWAYS......
If you're looking for good ending stories then this isn't yours to read. At the end of it all, you may think what Mara did was wrong, or it was too much but don't forget what she had done to her. This is the hundredth something time I'm telling this story, and as always I begin with.... It was like today, as always when Mara woke up late, again, for school.
She had spent the whole night working on Mr. Butternut's 3,000 word essay about the history of mermen. It isn't that it was too long but because she was working on two eassys. She hurriedly takes a bath and goes to her brothers room. "Gosh, he left me again," she mumbles. This was not the first time Sani, her brother, had left her. He was two years older than her and the complete opposite of Mara. He was a very charismatic handsome boy. Mara goes to her room, grabs her bag and goes to school on an empty stomach as punishment for waking up late.
The 15 minute ride to Darrenville High took longer than usual because she wasn't at all worried about Mr. Butternut's detentions but rather something else, Luna. She had kept Luna waiting for the second essay she had written. Luna was the daughter of Ms. Tinsel, the principal of Darrenville High. She was very beautiful on the outside but dirty at heart. She wasn't so bright at studies so Mara did all the book work. In short, Mara was Luna's slave. Like all masters, Luna treated Mara like trash. One day she had made her run almost half naked around the school. Now just imagine what would happen to Mara if Luna never handed in the eassy and this is what made time fly so fast.
For the first time in her life at school, Mr. Butternut is late for work today. She rushes in and reaches to take her seat. "Hey dumbbell, why are you late?" she looks behind and it's Cindy, Luna's bestie. Beside Cindy is an enraged Luna. Luna stands up. "I.....I... was," she cries. Luna gives her a hot slap. "Late isn't an option for you . You have to arrive when I want you. Have you heard?" she yells to a crying Mara, "Have you heard?" "Y..Ye..Yees," she answers. "Can someone explain what's going on here?" They all look in front and it's Mr. Butternut. "Nothing Sir, we were just having a small conversation." Luna explains. "Miss, is something wrong?" he looks at Mara. Mara rubs off her tears. "Nothing Sir." She sits down. "Well, if everything is fine, then let's start."
When the lesson's over, Mara rushes to the cafeteria as she has to bring Luna's energy drink. "How many times have I told you that I don't like too cold drinks you fool!" Luna yells at a kneeling Mara as she splashes the drink on her. "I'm sorry, this was the only one left." "Then you should have left and searched for it outside school." "I'll remember that next time." "Now get out of my face and get me my makeup kit!" She yells at her. Mara quickly stands up and goes out to the locker room.
When the last lesson is over, Mara rushes to Sani's class but today, as always , he's already gone. Sani never wanted students to find out about his relationship with Mara as it would tarnish his popularity. So today, as always, she goes back home alone. She reaches home and takes takes a bath. She eats her dinner alone and heads to her room. Her parents went to work abroad so she lives with her uncaring brother. She immediately starts working on the new essay from Mr. Butternut about the history of electricity. Today, as always, she had to work on two of them which means she will wake up tomorrow again.
