Chapter Fifteen

Chan's POV
What happened last night seemed like a dream. Do I just saw Lucas with wings? Or am I really dreaming that time? No. No. It can't be a dream because it seems so real.
"Chandrea, look at me. Look at me only."
"Is that really you?"
"Yes. I am. Everything's okay now."
After that conversation, I woke up here at the my bed already.
"Chandrea? Are you awake?" Mom knocked at my door.
"Oh--Yes mom." She entered my bedroom and she's bringing a tray with a glass of milk. "How are you feeling? Are you okay?"
"Mom, what happened?" I asked her as she sat beside me and exhaled deeply.
"Lucas brought you home last night. He said that you fainted."
"Mom.. Lucas.. Do you saw something weird with him when he brought me here last night?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Mom knows nothing so I think it was really a dream. I saw him with wings but how come he'll have wings when he's just a human? Chan, stop it. You are just dreaming or maybe because of fear, you are already hallucinating. "Chan, is there something wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing mom. Mom, I want to see Lucas."
"Are you going to school?! He's at school. You need to rest."
"But mom I have to go and I have to practice. I need to practice."
"Chandrea. Listen to me. Take a rest for today." Aish. I need to go to school to practice!
"But--"
"Lucas said that he'll be the one to tell your director what happened. Just take a rest."
"O--okay."
I need to see Lucas later. I need to talk to him. I feel like I have to talk to him and thank him.
Lucas' POV
"Hey, Lucas."
"What?" I paused walking because Alex called me all of a sudden. What does he need now?
"Where's Chan?" He asked. Alright, I knew it. He'll look for Chan.
"She's taking a rest."
"Why? What happened?" He asked again. Can he just stop acting like he's concerned?
"Are you really concerned about her?"
"What are you talking about?"
He's getting into my nerves. Argh! "Look, Alex. She sprained her ankle just last night because she stayed at the ballet studio to practice alone. She almost got into an accident because the speakers at the studio broke and almost fall onto her."
"What?!"
"And now you're surprised. I warned you, Alex. You must not hurt her and you must take care of her. But what are you doing?"
"Wait. I told her that I have to go to somewhere important." Wow, what an excuse. "Why are you so mad at me? Are you her boyfriend? Answer me!"
"I-I'm not but you promise me!"
"Do you like Chan?" He asked me.
"N--no!" I exclaimed. I don't like her. I can't feel anything towards her. He then smirked at me and pat my shoulder. He leaned closer to me and whispered.
"Then don't dictate me about my actions. I have my own ways to get Chan." After his words, he completely walked away. Geez. I don't like his aura. He's like someone whom you can never trust. I need to get some fresh air and the rooftop is the only place I can have a peace of mind.
I want to call her but I don't want to disturb her. She needs some rest. Aish. Lucas, just leave a simple message; that will do right? I just want to know if she's okay already.
Are you okay already?
Lucas?
Yes, it's me.
I'm fine. I need to talk to you.
After that message, I decided to dial her number but as soon as I dialed her number, Big Boss appeared in front of me.
"BIG BOSS!" He really loves surprises huh?!
"Lucas."
"What?! Did I do something wrong again?"
He came closer to me and reached for my ear. "A---AWWWW--AWWW!!" What the?! "Why?! Can you just tell me what I did wrong and leave my ear alone! Aish!"
"You showed that human your wings. That's a sin for us angels. You must not show the human, your real identity! What am I going to do with you?!"
"Big Boss, Chan is in danger and there is no one at the studio to protect her. I am doing this because she's my mission!"
He raised an eyebrow at me. What now?!
"She's your mission or you are really getting attached to that human?"
"What are you talking about?!"
"Do you really want to go at paradise, Lucas?"
"Of course!"
"Then mark my word. You must not fall in love with that human or you will dissipate!"
Geez. After saying that reminder, he immediately disappeared in front of me. He don't need to remind me that all the time because I clearly know that loving a human is prohibited. I don't want to hurt Chan but I also want to protect her.

Chan's POV
It's a good thing that I didn't hurt my ankle that much and I can freely move it again. That means, I can go back to practice.
"Chan!"
"Lucas?" He ran towards me and while catching his breath, he spoke.
"Are you going to practice already?"
I nodded my head and smiled at him. "Yes. Lucas, before I forgot, I just want to thank you for bringing me home that night and for protecting me. I don't know how can I make it up to you. I owe you a lot."
"Just take care of yourself. That's enough." I smiled at him sweetly at him. I really owe him a lot. I don't know what to do if Lucas wasn't here beside me. He always assure me that everything will be okay. He's always there for me.
"I will get going."
"Alright. Take care." I waved my hand at him and entered the ballet studio.
As I entered the ballet studio, the corps approached me and asked me if I was okay repeatedly. Alex also approached me.
"Are you okay already?"
I smiled at him and nodded. "Yes. I can move my feet freely again."
"Thank goodness. I became worried for you."
"You don't have to be worried for me. I am strong." I joked and they laughed a bit. As soon as our director arrived the studio, he also asked me if I was okay and I assure him that I can practice. He also gave us few reminders then we started practicing.

"Lucas? Why are you still here?" I was surprised that Lucas was standing beside the door of the studio.
"I want to show you something."
"You waited here for hours?" Because we need to perfect our routine, we practice until night and stay at the dance studio late. I didn't know that Lucas will wait for me like this.
"Yes. That's not a case for me. Let's go." He grabbed my wrist and dragged me going to the rooftop. I already know where we are going because the corridor and hallway we are passing through is the way going to the rooftop. We climbed the stairs and finally reached the rooftop, catching our breath.
"W-what are we going to do here?" I asked but he just smiled at me and lets me sit on one of the benches then he sat beside me.
"Chan, look at the sky." He said so I looked up in the sky and whoa-it's so beautiful.
"It's so beautiful." The sky was filled with stars and it feels so magical while looking up on it. It's like those movie scenes.
"I heard that there will be a meteor shower tonight so I want to see it with you."
"Why do you want to see it with me?" I asked him curiously because of all people, he wants to see it with me.
"Because you are my only friend and you are important to me." He looked at me seriously while smiling. "I had lived my life alone for years. My brother Eros is always out because of his job so I don't have any friends. I tend to be alone even at school or here at the university. I don't know why but I can't force people to like me if they really don't. You are my only friend here and I thank you for that."
"Aigoo, Lucas. I am surprised that you have that serious side with you huh?"
"Why??? Am I that foolish?"
"Not actually but I thought you are just a happy-go-lucky person and you are allergic to being that serious." But still, I am thankful that I met him. I mean it. "But still, I am thankful that I met you because you taught me how to believe in myself and how to unwind sometimes. Now, I am more secured and much more happy. Thank you Lucas."
"Chan!" He pointed at the sky and there, I saw the shooting stars. I looked at him and he eventually looked at me as well. "Close your eyes and make a wish." He said so I did. I closed my eyes and made my wish.
I hope Lucas and I will be happy all throughout and I hope mom and Lucas will stay by my side forever.
Lucas' POV
While she was wishing, I can't help but stare at her and realized that I have one wish.
I wish that I can stay with Chandrea for a longer time.
