Brad Nichols was a homegrown lawyer. His family had been in the area for over a hundred years. He knew everyone in town so he could be objective about disputes that clients came to him with. He was the type that didn’t take sides and since he knew the people, he knew what they wanted out of the deal. He was fair and just. Brad knew he shouldn’t take on clients at times and worked it out so he wasn’t anyone's legal representative but got them to settle a fair deal without any of the messy side effects that came with it.
