The alpha of alphas

Screams erupt out of my mouth, I sit up in my bed looking around. Water slowly drips down my whole body, I’m sweating. My brother Noah runs in to check on me. I’ve been having these nightmares since I can remember. “Are you okay Layla” I look up at Noah getting out of my daze. “Yea I’ll be fine.” I replied back He stares at me for a while, concern and worry sitting in his eyes. He leaves my room before giving me a quick nod. I lay my head in my hands and rock side to side. After awhile I decided I needed to have a run, I usually do this every morning and my wolf loves the cold breeze and the rising sun. I get up not even worrying how I look. I Chuck a plain tee and some jeans on and grab my bag. I run downstairs grabbing a muffin from the kitchen, eating it quickly and heading outside near the forest. I undress behind a tree and shift. My wolf is gorgeous with long white fur and striking amber eyes. She’s fast, strong and a lot of other she-wolves in our pack envy her. Layla you out on a run again? My brother mindlinks me Yes Noah, it helps me relax. there’s a slight pause before he responds. Well, I’ll be busy all morning. Alpha duty calls. Stay out of trouble please. He breaks the mindlink I feel I little sorry for my brother. He’s been doing Alpha duties since he was 16. Our parents were murdered when we were kids. I don’t remember much, I was too young. I assume that’s where my nightmares stems from though. As I’m running through the forest I start to smell other scents. Other werewolves? OH CRAP! why didn’t Noah remind me! We have the largest pack of werewolves coming today. They were the strongest and the scariest, everyone feared them, but their pack was sorta like the alpha pack of all the packs. The leader of us all. I quickly turn around and run as fast as I can back to the packhouse to get ready. My brother hasn’t found his mate yet and since I’m the alphas little sister I tend to attend to most of the important meetings. I shift back behind the tree and get changed into my clothes. I run back upstairs to my room and get dressed in something a little nicer. A light blue fitted dress that flares out after my waist that reaches my knees, I match it with some short sliver heels. I run to my bathroom and quickly do my untamed curly brown hair. I brush it through and leave it out so my curls bounce to frame my face. I quickly apply some simple makeup. A bit of mascara and pink chapstick to make my lips look less pale. I mindlink Noah why didnt you remind me that the blood moon pack was coming today - I hissed at him I thought you would of remembered - Noah snickered at me I cut the mindlink off and ran downstairs to meet Noah at the front of the pack house. I stood next to him and straightened out my dress and pushed loose strands of hair out of my face. Then it hit me.
