Last Day of the Hunting Event

Thankfully, they stop questioning me and they returned to their camp to rest while Kerz, Dravis, and Klin cleaned up the table while I went for a little walk. I ended up going to the magical tree and the magical beast.

I looked closely at the tree and I can say it was very beautiful because you can see the mana surrounding it that served as a light, it was emerald color and it is really breathtaking while the wolf sleeping in its trunks also bright with its light blue highlight with ash color fur. I can't take off my eyes since it was really beautiful, then something strange when I felt someone is calling me towards the tree.

I snap at it when I was already in front of the tree and I did not realize that I had come to it voluntarily. I felt an urge to hold the tree so I hold the tree with my right hand and the tree light it up so I immediately let go of it as I covered my eyes because of the brightness coming from the tree.

" How come? I didn't do anything," I just said it because it suddenly lit up so I immediately looked at the wolf and it is looking at me, as its tail is waving like a dog when its owner comes home. I moved backward away from the tree and the magical beast due to shock and ran away since someone is approaching the tree. I got back to the camp without looking back when I run away from the tree.

"Are you okay?" Kerz asks me when he meets me going out of our camp.

"I-I am fine," I said and went inside.

'What happened to him?' he whispered before I totally go in.

I prepare my bed for me to go to sleep since it was the last day of the hunting event and we need to hunt bigger animals. I drift to sleep immediately.

I woke up early and went out to have a little exercise.

"You are so early," Dravis told me as he preparing for breakfast.

"Not really, what's for our breakfast?" I said to him as I stretched.

"We will be having mushroom soup and beefsteak," He said.

"Oh, need some help?" I ask him as I fold my sleeves.

"Sure, prepare the mushroom soup since it's your recipe," He said so I just said 'okay' and started to prepare to cook.

After we cook the breakfast, I called his Highness, and of course, I become his instant attendant since he always calls for me whenever he changes his clothes when Kerz gladly volunteering but he refuses like...

"Your Highness, let me assists you," Kerz told Prince Renz.

"No, Avy will assist me so go out," he told Kerz so he is like a child for god sake.

So even though I was not called, I got used to going to his camp for the two or three days that they are with me. It seems like he has forgotten that I am a knight and not his own people that he commands me whichever he likes. I call his Highness as I go in and he was already awake so I greeted him a 'good morning, Your Highness. Breakfast is ready' while holding the basin with water.

Prince Renz'z Pov:

"Your Highness, are you awake?" Avy said before he got in and I look at him.

"Good Morning, Your Highness. Breakfast is ready." He said as he approaches me and put down the basin in front of me. He always looks plain or poker face and even bored expression that wants to see him smile or witness something new from him.

"Prepare my clothes," I told him, and I know that he becomes an instant attendant since his expression is priceless when he gets annoyed or pissed that I can't get bored.

"Yes, your Highness," He answered as he prepares my new clothes as I wipe my face and body. Then I put on my clothes.

"Avy, do you really not want to try?" I ask him since I am curious why he doesn't want to and I am guessing that the reason was his status or he was not confident enough.

"Yes, Your Highness." He answered me without blinking that he is not really interested.

"Okay, just say a word if you change your mind. I don't mind accompanying you." I said.

"Thank you, Your Highness. I'll keep in mind." He said as he picks up the basin and we go out.

After assisting Prince Renz, we eat our breakfast silently and we prepare to go further into the forest where stronger animals are there. Kerz and Dravis were left to prepare to return to the starting point since after this we will go back straight. 

"Avy, we need to move faster," He said, so I nodded as an answer as we move faster. We encounter a stronger bear on our way but Prince Renz stabs right to its heart and that's for a Prince. Okay, he is really strong and he is indeed the Prince of Winter next to the emperor who is strong as him. 

We've got a lot but Prince Renz seems to be looking for something and doesn't want to say what it is. 

"Your Highness, what are we looking for?" I ask him since we are not moving in the same place as if he was waiting for something.

"Shh. Be alert. I think it is coming." He said so I kept quiet because I heard sounds around.

"Avy!," He shouted as he grabs me so we lay down and I saw a tiger but not just an ordinary tiger because it is snowy in color and has long claws and fangs than the ordinary tiger has.

"What was that?" I said as we stood up.

"That's what we are waiting for, the snow tiger beast," He said as he draws his sword and gets ready to fight. The tiger growls and began to fight too, so I draw my sword since I will be assisting him.

"Is it that valuable, your Highness?" I said.

"Yes since it was the strongest here in the forest and it is really rare." 

"So, how did you know that it will show here?" I curiously ask him since he said it is rare so how did he know.

"Well, I did some investigation for the past few years that lesser animals are going here, especially in this part, and I found out 6 months ago," He said as he attacks the snow tiger.

"Then, I assume that you already know how to deal with it," I said since he will not go here without any plans.

"Of course, I don't," He said while smiling that's why I was annoyed because he was still able to smile.

"What?! Then how would we deal with it?!" I shouted since the tiger is attacking us and we are dodging.

"Just kidding," He said as he laughs at me while I was nervous about what will happen to us. 

"It's not funny, your Highness?!" I said to him and he was enjoying it. If he was just close to me I might have kicked him.

"Avy attack to its left side and I'll attack to his right, then jump and strike his neck with all your strength as I distract it." He said so we both attack on both sides and I immediately jump after I strike. I immediately gathered my mana with my sword at the tip as I landed on its neck and Prince Renz also strikes to its chest and many magic stones came from. I was amazed when there is one bigger than the others and it was a diamond which is the most expensive and powerful stone. 

"Got it." He said as he looks at the stone as if he was checking it carefully.

"Congratulations, Your Highness," I said in a boring way as I pick up those stones since he only picks the diamond stone.

"Are you really congratulating me in that tone?" He said while still examining the stone.

"Of course, Your Highness," I said as I pack it into our bag.

"This is not the rare one." He said as he looks into the diamond disappointed.

"Why?" I ask.

"This is just only the second rare stone, it should have goldstone inside but this one has Silverstone." He said so I looked at the stone in his hands and it was silver inside.

"That's okay, your Highness since that is a diamond type of stone." I cheer him up because he looks down when he finds out that silver is in it.

"Fine, let's go back." He said even though he was disappointed but we could do nothing because that was what we got. We both ride our horses and we go back as fast as we could since it is already getting darker and it is not good if we can't arrive before the night. On our way back, we encounter some animals since they are more active at night so Prince Renz told me that w should move faster or else, we will face doom.

"Can you keep up, Avy?!" He shouted since we are moving really fast.

"Of course, your Highness!" I shouted back at him. We just avoid or pass the animals that we see but we did not expect that we would meet a bear when we were about to go out of the forest.

"We are really having a bad day," He said as we stopped in front of the bear.

"I agree, your Highness," I agreed to him since we are having a stroke of bad luck.

"But we need to get back as fast as we could since the magic cast on the forest will be removed and animals will become more dangerous because of the moonlight." He said, then commanded me to run on the left side and he runs on the right side after he will attack the bear. I nodded in response so he immediately attacked the bear and we immediately ran.

I noticed that Prince Renz was being chased by the bear even though it was a bit far so he didn't notice so I attack the bear with a long-distance attack as it looks in my way. It started to runs towards me so I move faster but it moves faster and it will soon be reached. I stopped then I let the horse runs away and I face the bear since it will not stop following me knowing that the magic was already removed because the bear becomes stronger.

"You won't let me go that easily, right?" I said and made myself laugh because I was talking to the bear and why did I not ignored it earlier since Renz is stronger than me but I do not know to myself why I did that.

The bear growls as if it was agreeing with what I've said. It began to attack me as I dodge and defend with my sword but it looks like I am at a disadvantage since it was much stronger than a while ago. I got away immediately when I was almost hit by his paws. I avoided all of its attacks for a minute because it attacking non-stop so I could not rush to attack and I was on my limit since I am using mana on my sword and it was really draining me. 

"I think, this will be my final blow," I said as I move back to gather the mana left in me in my sword. I run towards the bear as I wield my sword but it didn't budge with its paws so I flew away and I coughed blood.

"I really have bad luck today," I said as I wipe my mouth and get up. I don't think I can since I don't have enough mana to use and my energy is low for me to run. I saw the bear was coming towards me as I lose consciousness.

Prince Renz's Pov:

"Welcome back! Your Highness!" They greeted me as I arrived at the entrance and I saw Lady Miary, Ian, Ronan, Prince Hanz, and Kil were already there so I went down on my horse.

"Where is Avy, Your Highness?" Lady Miary asks me so I turned around but I didn't see Avy.

"Maybe he just a little late since I let him run first," I said which is true since I saw him run away.

"Is that so?" she said even though she was not satisfied with my answer.

"I agree, Lady Miary. Let's just wait for Little Avy for a bit." Kil seconded so she sighed before she says 'okay'.

"Why don't we rest for a while waiting for him," Kil said as he walks towards the table.

"Something is coming out from the forest," someone shouted so we turned around there and it is Avy's horse.

"I told you he was just a little late," I said to Lady Miary as she said 'yeah right' and we waited to get close to us but then it was empty since we can't really see when it is far.

"Where is he?! Why does only a horse come back?" Lady Miary asks me while controlling herself not to grab my collar.

"I don't know but I am sure that he runs first before me," I said to her.

"I'm going to look for him!" She said but then her maid said 'no'.

"Don't go! It's dangerous Lady Miary!" I said to her since she insists to look for Avy when the magic cast in the forest was already gone.

"Then, should I just wait for him if we already know how dangerous in the forest when the magic cast on the forest was gone?!" 

" I'll go look for him" We turned to the person who spoke.
