Party Cottage

2058 Words
Saturday I spent most of the day in my bed sulking. I hated how things were going. I wanted to reject Derek because he was a rogue but yet I had such strong feelings for Dustin and he, too, was a rogue. And now I was trapped with Shadow Heights dickheads in my school who were hell bent on making my life miserable. I was terrified they may hurt my Dustin.  My Dustin? No Xan. He’s not yours. Who would be appropriate for me to mate and be marked by? Another Alpha? Would I end up having to be with someone like Joshua? If I rejected Derek, would I get a second chance mate? And if so, how long would it take to find them? What did that matter? I didn’t want a mate anyways. Right? I pushed my face into the pillow again. ‘Xan’ Mar mindlinked. ‘Hmm’ I grumbled. ‘Party cottage tonight.’ She linked ‘I don’t feel like it.’ I linked back ‘No choice. Its gonna be huge. Everyone is gonna be there tonight. Pick out something super sexy.’  I slapped my hands to my face. “Ow.” That actually hurt. *********** I chose a tiny dark red dress that laced up the back and was open down to my belly button in the front. It had some chains with little crystals on it that fell down my cleavage and a lacy design on the bottom skirt part. It made me feel incredibly sexy and it was what I needed. I chose a pair of strappy black heels and straightened out my hair a little so my waves were smoother. I did some cat eye for my liner and red lipstick for my lips. When I looked in the mirror, I felt devious. I felt like I could do anything tonight and I would be ok. I sent a text to Shawn telling him about the party. I let him know I was dressed in proper party wear. I didn’t want to hear about it later when Bentley showed him pictures of us. Mar and the boys pulled up around 9 to pick me up and their jaws dropped when I stepped out of the house. Pete would not let me get in the car for 15 minutes straight saying it was not a dress, it was a piece of cloth. But after everyone complained, we were on our way. Bentley touched my legs the whole way there like the p*****t he was born to be. When we got to the cottage, Mar wasn’t lying. The place was insane. I guess with Shadow Heights being in the loop now, their pack was gonna start showing up now too.  I got whistles and stares galore, but I only had one person on my mind- Dustin. We walked into the cottage and I didn’t think we would fit. There were just too many people. We managed to squeeze our way to the kitchen for drinks. Of course the boys ran into friends there that they wanted to stop and talk to. I laughed because as usual, Mar looked at me with a frown. “I know, I know. We can’t take them anywhere.” I said laughing. We made some drinks while they talked. Before I knew it Nicky was passing out some pills as usual too. They were a little different looking than the normal ones. These were pastel colors, all different. I took one but he told me you had to take two of these. So I took two and washed it down with my terrible as usual cocktail. Just as I swallowed, I felt an arm around my waist. I looked up to see Shawn.  He leaned down to my ear and whispered “If I get you alone, you’re in trouble.”  I laughed. He pecked me on the cheek and went over to the guys to talk with them. Mar scrunched her nose at me.  Next Tim made his way over to say “Hi” by pulling me close enough to feel his hard-on and telling me he would probably have to go j******f in the bathroom. He did invite me, which I politely declined. I’m positive Pete would have spotted that. Mar once again scrunched her nose. I’ll give her that one. That was well deserved. And without warning, the Shadow pricks made their way in. And you could not knock the grin off Joshua's face. Unless you had a sledgehammer. Which I would have happily tried. The pills were starting to kick in and I was starting to get giggly and everything just felt good. Joshua made his way to me. Before I realized it, Jackson was on the other side of me. The bastards had come up with a plan of attack. “Alpha Xan. It is a REAL pleasure seeing you tonight. Mmm. A true pleasure.” He stares at my t**s. Yes Joshua, this is how you will get your Luna. How are you still single? “Nice seeing you as well Alpha.” I said curtly, taking a drink. “Can I speak with you? Alone please?” Joshua asks. “If its anything like yesterday, then no.” I tell him flat out. His face is priceless. “Excuse me?” He says, offended. “You’re excused.” I’m now trying to push my way around him. He grabs my arms and pulls me to him. He leans down to my ear. “I know a little secret about you. So if you were smart, you’ll shut your smart little mouth and do what I say.” He leans back and smirks at me. I look up at him with what must be all the hatred in the world. “Come.” He says, grabbing my wrist. I rip my wrist away from him but follow him. “I love how feisty you are. Its incredibly sexy.” Don’t kill him, Xan. Don’t kill him, Xan. He’s an Alpha. The pack lives are more important than your ego. I followed him to the back of the cottage, where Derek and I had our first kiss. My heart hurts a little thinking of it. I would have to reject him soon. “So, I heard a little rumor that you have a thing for the bad boys. More specifically, rogues?” Joshua says with his s**t eating grin. “Well, luckily it none of your f*****g business.” I say with my sweet smile. He grabs me by my arms and shoves me against the side of the cottage. “I’ve had enough of your blatant disrespect. I will not be talked to like this by a woman.” So it is true, you are a misogynistic piece of garbage. “And what will you do Josh? Kill me? Because I will not bow to you? Or have you forgotten I am an Alpha just as you are. We are equals. I am not a Luna.” I make this point clear. Him and I hold the same title. I mean, yea, I don’t take any of my Alpha s**t serious. Hell, I haven’t gone to a training session in almost a year probably. But its my birthright. And I’ll be damned if this dickhead is gonna sit here and put me down for what s****l organs I have. He released my arms and looked around, trying to calm himself. “You enjoy testing my patience.” “I don’t have time for this bullshit, Josh. Have a nice night.” I say and start to walk away. He grabs me again and this time pushes my stomach against the wall with his d**k against my ass. He grinds it hard into me. “Do you feel that, Alpha?” “Let go of me Joshua.” I say trying to hold myself together. He is now threatening me with s****l assault. “We are both Alphas. We belong together. This,” He pushes his hard-on against me. “Belongs in this.” He runs his hand under my dress, touching my p***y. “Get your f*****g hands off me.” I warn him. “Stop messing with mutts. You need an Alpha. One that can satisfy your Alpha.” He kisses my neck and licks up my ear. I elbow him in the stomach and walk away when he backs off in pain. I go to the front of the house and sit in the grass. I need to gather myself. These pills are f*****g with me and I’m upset about Joshua and his actions. I get a familiar scent that makes my stomach flip. Forest and mint. Oh, Goddess, please no. Not right now. “Baby? Whats wrong?” I hear Derek. “I’m fine. Its medicine.” I say. My words don’t sound right though. My mouth isn’t working right. “What? Whats wrong? What happened? What the hell are you wearing? f**k. Dustin, give me your coat.”  “Dustin? You’re here. Please.”  “What did she say?” “I don’t know. She sounds messed up.” “Maybe we should take her back to our house?” “I don’t know if that's a good idea, Derek.” “Dustin. I need to talk to you. I like you.” I say, but my words are slurred and hard to understand. “What is she saying?” “She sounds like she took something. Why don’t we find her friends?” “GET AWAY FROM HER!” “She’s f*****g sick! What did you guys give her?!” “MIND YOUR BUSINESS, ROGUE!” “Dustin, please.” And everything goes black. ******* “XANNIE!” I open my eyes. There’s loud music and its kind of dark. I look around and I’m surrounded by a bunch of people. In the party cottage kitchen. On the counter. Oh Goddess, I have become THAT girl. Mar, Nicky, Pete, Bentley, Joshua, Jackson, Ronin, Shawn, and Tim. No Derek. And worst of all no Dustin. “What happened?” I ask. “You were attacked by mongrels!” Joshua shouts. “Dude, shut up! You weren’t even there.” Bentley says. “Are you ok, babe? We found you outside. Those 2 rogues had you. You were passed out. Did they…. You know…. Touch you anywhere?” “What?” I squint at him. I look up at Shawn who is right by my side. He gives me a weak smile. “You ok?” He asks simple and flat out. “Yea. I’m fine.” I say. I reach my arms up to him to help me up. “I think I should help her since I am the only other Alpha in the room. It would make sense.” Joshua shouts. “No!” Pete shouts. He and Jackson begin to argue again. I slide myself over to the edge of the counter and dangle my legs near Shawn. He holds my head on both sides, making sure I’m able to hold it up. “Your fuckin' pupils are the size of saucers. You drop something?” He asks me. I smile and nod. “You feeling ok? Want some water maybe?” He’s so caring and sweet. He lets go of my head and I lean my head against his chest. “Hey Bent, can you get her some water?” I feel his arm go to my back and start to run his fingertips up and down gently. “Gamma Pete, I hardly think this is appropriate for a warrior to be groping all over Alpha Alexandria. And here you are just allowing it to happen. How would Alpha Alexander feel about this.” Joshua said smugly.  Prick. Pete walked over and took over for Shawn. I smiled at Shawn as he walked away. How strange that me and Shawn had become such close friends so quickly. I felt like I knew him forever already. I mean granted we already saw each other naked, and we had a******x. Incredible a******x. And boy knew how to use his tongue.  I got a chill thinking about it.  Do NOT get aroused in this kitchen, Xan! That would be a complete disaster! After drinking some water and nursing my ego for a bit, I was ready to start drinking and socializing again. I took a few shots, started getting my buzz back, much to the dismay of Joshua.  Mar and I danced our hearts out. I got hit on by a few guys. None as intriguing as Dustin though. I started to feel more and more anxious to hurry up and reject Derek. Our mate bond just wasn’t that strong. I didn’t feel like it was meant to be. At the end of the night Shawn asked if I would dance with him, I happily obliged. I fully expected him to feel up on me, but he didn’t. He was a gentleman. We talked a lot and he told me his plans for after he graduated (He wanted to train pups), and his favorite food (5 meat pizza), and how he liked to wake up super early on Sundays and go for runs in wolf form. He was such a down to Earth guy. I told him whoever his mate ends up being, she's going to be so lucky. He started to make me wonder if I wanted a mate. Maybe settling down and becoming responsible wasn’t as bad as I had convinced myself it to be.
