“You have a meeting with your new feeds supplier an hour later,” Elissa informed Alejandro about his next appointment.

But the man was not attentive to her. Alejandro was on his phone, smiling from ear to ear. He was exchanging flirty messages with his current fling. Elissa was not yet aware of Alejandro’s habit. She was not yet aware that her ex-husband was playing with a women's heart. Alejandro loves to break someone’s heart now. Everyone in Cariaga was aware of how playboy Alejandro was, but the women of Cariaga seemed not to care. All they cared about was they could at least experience dating the man, to be in bed with the man.

“Are you listening?” Elissa asked him, irritated.

Elissa’s forehead was creased. She was glaring at the man, and Alejandro wasn’t even looking at her. He was still busy manipulating his phone screen. Elissa greeted her teeth as she was losing her patience.

Elissa wanted to snatch his phone away, so he could pay attention to her, but she held herself back. That was not professional, and inappropriate to do. She sighed deeply before softly knocking the top of the table. Good thing she successfully got Alejandro’s attention.

“Yes?” The man asked her, proving that he hadn't listened to what she had just said.

Elissa forced herself to smile at her boss. She had to be patient and kind. He was paying her.

“I was saying that you have a meeting with your new feeds supplier,” Elissa said, smiling.

She was informing Alejandro ahead since the meeting was set at a restaurant, not in his office. Alejandro still needs to drive, so leaving in advance is a must. Alejandro nodded slowly and put his phone inside his pocket.

Alejandro stood up and was ready to leave when he noticed that Elissa was already back at her table inside his office.

He requested that Elissa’s table should be inside his office. So she could be easily called when he needed her.

Alejandro looked at Elissa for a few seconds. His ex-wife was tapping at her keyboard, maybe encoding something. Originally, he would go alone to his meeting, but upon seeing the woman. He wanted to make fun of her. He thought of bringing Elissa. Alejandro was meeting Shalsey, his new supplier for his newly built piggery farm. Today, they would talk about the schedules of delivery of feeds, the payments, etc. He was used to going out alone when meeting someone. But wouldn’t it be so fun to see Elissa’s reaction if she saw him flirting with someone?

Alejandro smiled secretly. Will she get jealous? Alejandro asked himself.

“Let’s go,” Alejandro said, which surprised Elissa.

The woman immediately looked at him, confused. Her eyes were asking him what he was talking about. His meeting requires his presence alone, not hers. She has some things to finish also.

“Huh?” Elissa was lost.

“I said, let’s go,” Alejandro repeated as he was already walking towards the door.

Elissa was just looking at him. Was the man asking her to come? She thought.

“I’m coming with you?” Elissa asked him to clarify.

Alejandro looked at her coldly. He was thinking if the woman was dumb. Of course, he was bringing her. That was why he was saying ‘let’s go’. That was freaking obvious.

Elissa did not wait until Alejandro answered her, as she could see the man was already losing his patience with her.

She stood up and got her handbag, she also got her tablet just in case she needed to take down some notes.

Alejandro did not wait for her to get ready, he had gone out already. That made Elissa walk fast going out because her boss was already waiting on his car.

The loud honk of Alejandro’s car startled Elissa as she was walking out of the building. The man’s car was already parked in front of the building. Alejandro was impatiently waiting for his secretary.

“Faster!” He shouted.

Elissa wanted to roll her eyes. If he wasn’t busy on his phone a while ago, they don’t have to rush. But the man chooses his phone over listening to her, telling him his schedule. It was just her first week of work with him, but he was already getting on her nerves. He was testing her patience.

“Coming!” She shouted back.

She was half running towards his car, and went in immediately. Alejandro drove instantly after Elissa got in the car. The woman almost had a heart attack as he sped up.

“F*ck! Are you getting us killed?!” Elissa said, panicking.

She loves her life, but she still wants to live a hundred years. She still wanted to see Katarina grow up a fine lady. Her life should not end with this st*pid, reckless ex-husband of hers.

Alejandro glanced at her, and when he saw her panicking he sped up more.

“F*ck you!” Elissa shouted at him.

The man burst into laughter, he was so happy torturing his ex-wife. He felt that making fun of her somehow relieved his hatred towards her. He was laughing so hard, he wanted to scare her more, but he wouldn’t go that far. He would not risk their lives just to make fun of her.

“F*ck me? Oh, sure honey,” he answered her curse.

Alejandro slowed down the car and just drove at the right speed. Elissa could finally breathe. She glared at the man. If only looks could kill, Alejandro would have already lost his breath. Her sharp stares just entertained him, he was not affected by it.

“There was no way I was going to f*ck someone like you,” she said, irritated.

Alejandro smirked.

“You did enjoy my body years ago, woman.”

Elissa looked away. Surely, she did, and those nights when they enjoyed each other's body, they had a daughter. A daughter that Elissa treasured, the daughter that she was willing to do anything just to give her a bright future, even working as a secretary to her ex-husband.

Alejandro thought that Elissa would still talk back to him, but the woman fell silent. She was just looking out at the window of his car. She was not saying anything anymore. Was that below the belt? He asked himself. But that was true, they used to enjoy each other's bodies. He was her ex-husband. Of course, that was normal. Did she become sensitive? Instead of making fun of her more, Alejandro chose to keep his mouth shut.

There are still more ways to make her suffer. That’s enough for today. That was what he thought.

Both of them were silent in the car until they reached their destination. They got out of the car and went to the restaurant. Elissa was just following Alejandro from behind. And when the man stopped at a table, Elissa glanced at the woman Alejandro was meeting.

Her eyes went wide.
