The Kings Command

1458 Words
Alpha Captain lay in bed looking forward to his meeting with his councilmen. The girl next to him slept soundly, surely satisfied from last night’s tryst. He remembered tying her up, they like that. She had struggled a bit, but that was just for show. He had tied her hands and feet together and then tied them to the head board that was made for nights like last night. He had f****d her so hard her head repeatedly hit the headboard and she was crying out for more. There was no way for her to stop him, to signal that she wanted more. When he was done with her he strode away from the bed not caring to untie her from her very delicate position. He thought maybe another go after he showered, she definitely liked it hard. He didn’t notice that she was not even moving, not breathing. He had broken her neck last night. The maid came in and untied her and covered her up, she didn’t want to tell her master what he had done. So she quietly left before he came back. Captain just laid down next to her dead body and started thinking of the meeting. Once he decided that he was going to have another go with her he reached for her and her cold, stiff body didn’t respond. “What the…..”. He pulled back the covers and her discolored body with the tale tale signs of being beated looked back at him. Not trying to cover the truth like they do when they are alive. She just looked back at him with dead eyes that seemed to look through him, blood crusted on the corner of her mouth making her blue lips seem darker. Her swollen cheek still showed his hand mark as he had pushed down in the bed. Her black hair a mess with a few strands strew across her face stuck in the blood. His dark brown eyes narrowed looking at her corpse with hatred and disgust. He threw the sheet back over her face and got out of bed. Strode nude to the door where he opened it. The guard straighten up with his master looking at him. “Get rid of her.” Captain nodded toward the bed and then let the guard in. He came in and quickly lifted her out of bed and made his way out of his room. The guard never looked down at them, it wasn’t very often they were killed but severely beaten is his usual. She was stiff and dead, she didn’t curl up against him for comfort and cry into his chest. She simply hung there. He looked down and saw her face. She was young, younger than most he figured. That’s probably why she couldn’t handle it. Her eyes stared forward, looking into some unknown world. He made several turns and then to the basement where the inferno was. He watched her body turn to ash and then went back to his post. Something about her eyes haunted him tho. Gave him shivers down his spine when they floated through his mind. He shouldn’t have looked at her. He knew better. As he stood at his post he grew sad for her, then he grew angry with himself, he knew better than to look down. Captain Stone made his way down for breakfast and tea. His warm breakfast was served quickly by a very quiet servant who knew better than to hover. “Pedro, ready my horse.” He called out from the table, he knew Pedro would not be able to hear him but his words travel fast so he knew it would be done. His large bay colored horse was ready and waiting for him. He easily hopped on him and trotted out of the gaits. There was almost a collective sigh of relief from the entire compound when he was out of sight. “Your Grace.” Alpha Captain took a knee to the king. It made his stomach turn to do so, Captain thought he would be a better king than him, but nonetheless he lowered his head and played the game, for now. “Alpha Stone. It is good to see you.” The King did not care for Captain Stone, he had heard some horrid rumors about his ruling technique but he could never get confirmation. “Please join us.” The King offered him a seat in the center of the table. He knew he would be put off by not being seated next to him and he saw it in his eyes as he took the chair designated for him. “Why did you request this meeting?” The King looked at Alpha Stone as did the 5 other members of the council. The council was made up of elderly men and 1 woman, they had made the council up to help control some of these overbearing leaders. Werewolves tend to have big personalities and even bigger ego’s. “It has been brought to my attention that there is another pack in my territory.” He looked around slightly and continued. “They have both an Alpha and a female leader they call ‘Luna’, reasons for which I could not say. They have been training to fight, even the women are training to fight. Not that they would have much of dent. “Where on your territory?” The King asked. “Along the sea cliffs and into the surrounding forest.” “That is many many miles from your compound. Who declared that as your territory?” The King retorted. “Yes, it says in our bylaws how large a territory can be and that is outside of the bounds.” Another council elder stated. “I have manned that area since the inception of our territory. I have a right to defend it.” “Alpha Stone. How long have they been there?” The King knew the answer, there isn’t much he doesn’t know. “We discovered them 2 moons ago, during the last planting season.” Alpha Captain Stone argued. “I do not like your tone Alpha Stone.” The Kings voice boomed in the great hall. He sat back in his big chair, “They have been there for several years now. I think you abandoned that area long ago and you have no reason to try and reclaim it now. “ Alpha Captain Stone was furious on the inside being embarrassed in front of everyone this way. Hatred for the clan that took over his land was clenching his heart. “Furthermore, this council of elders is denying your request for battle support.” The King leaned forward looking Captain Stone in the eye. “You will not battle with this new pack. They maybe very important.” The King had heard rumors about the ‘Lunas’ beauty and strength. He had heard that their fields provide for much more than they need. There was definitely something there. He sat back and thought it was time he made the trip to this new pack. They may need some protection from this angry man looking back at him. Alpha Captain Stone stood up quickly the chair making a loud echoing noise in the hall. “I will defend my territory, with or without your support.” He drove his finger into the table with each word, he held the King’s glare. “Alpha Stone. I will remind you who is the King and it is not you. It is in our laws that all wars and infighting must be approved, otherwise chaos would ensue and we would go back to being the dogs that we used to be.” The King slowly stood up and then he leaned forward toward Alpha Captain Stone. “If you make this move, I will have no choice but to label you a traitor.” Being a traitor in a pack is a death sentence. Not because the pack kills them but the pack will no longer support them and they must live on their own. A pack must have unity to survive. Alpha Captain Stone said nothing back, he wasn’t stupid. He just stood up bowed his head and bent slightly at the waist. “Your Grace.” He turned to leave the meeting. It was pointless meeting to him, he should’ve just moved in on this new pack. Showed him who was boss. Now he was in a terrible position because he was told straight from the King himself not to touch them. He now needed to elicit a fight from them. He easily hopped up on his horse and cantered away.
