Jordan’s POV
The party is in full swing people are already getting drunk, but I have not seen either Mary-Kate or Billy. The time on my phone is now 7:15pm and the party started over two hours ago. Perhaps she changed her mind about coming, so might as well drink and forget I just got stood up.
“May I please have a shot of tequila.” I ask the bartender.
“Coming right up.” says the guy standing behind the bar counter.
Ryan even asked one of the house staff to bar tend. He grabs a shot glass and pours me a shot of tequila then pushes the glass in front of me. I pick up the glass then take all the burning liquid down as easy as drinking water. But it tastes nothing like water.
“Hi Jordan.” I hear a familiar female voice.
“May I have another one.” I tell the bar tender when I realize who is next to me.
“Why are you drinking tequila?” She asks.
I pick up the shot glass and down the second shot of tequila.
“What kind of question is that Blair? Why do people drink tequila and what are you even doing here?” I ask her.
She and Ryan will just start biting each other’s heads off once he sees her. I am in no mood to play referee tonight.
“I don’t remember needing an invitation to be here.” She responds whipping her hair off her shoulder.
“You are longer dating him Blair, he needs to invite you if he wants you here but I guess you’re here to fight and I am not gonna be a part of it.” I say.
“Nooo I am in no mood to fight with him either. I will just stay here and keep you company.” She bats her fake eye lashes.
I didn’t ask for any company.
I turn towards the bar tender, and he gets the memo that he needs to pour me another shot. Instead of pouring me one shoot, he pours me two, good bartending I must say. He knows this will be a long night.
“Where are your friends anyway?” I ask trying my best to get rid of her.
“Gwen is somewhere looking for her hopeless boyfriend.” She says looking around.
Ken is probably playing FIFA with the rest of the guys in the lower lounge.
“Shouldn’t you help her?” I take a sip of the drink the bar tender just mixed for me.
“What!!! No, why would I be doing that?” she asks me with a confused face. “Excuse me, and why am I not getting a drink?” she angrily asks the bartender.
“My apologies Miss, what would you like to drink?” he asks her.

Mary-Kate’s POV
“Billy if the music is this loud out here, how loud will it be inside?” I ask Billy as we walk towards the front door.
Jordan’s friend’s house is huge. About the same size as Billy’s if not bigger. I underestimated how rich these people really are. I should have seen it from all the expensive cars that drop and collect them from school.
All the cars parked outside are familiar to the ones I see parked at school. Billy mom suggested the driver drops us because she does not trust Billy driving us home after this party. Billy might of course drink some alcohol and that is why he did not argue with her.
I am not sure if I want to take any. I mean I have never taken alcohol and I think I am too young to be drinking. In fact, no one should be drinking alcohol at this party, but who am I to stop them from having fun if that is what is considered as fun?
“It will be loud at first, but you will get used to it.” He smiles.
I hope I better not get a headache from the loud music.
As we step into the house the music indeed gets louder. Astronaut in the ocean by masked wolf is busting aloud through the speakers. The lights are dim, but you can clearly see everything.
I can see a lot of familiar faces from school. Billy is waving and saying hi to most of them as we make our way through the crowd. I would too but I only know Billy and Jordan for now, everyone else is a stranger.
“Let’s get something to drink.” Billy shouts over the music.
“Okay.” I yell back.
I follow Billy through the maze of people. Everyone is nicely dressed in expensive clothes, the girls are carrying expensive purses and tinny sling bags. Their makeup and hair is nicely done as well. Now I understand why Billy and his mom made such a fuss about dressing and dolling me up for this party. I now feel comfortable with how I am dressed. Most of the girls are dressed in shorter and tighter clothes than mine, showing off a lot more skin than I am.
I just hope Jordan will like how I look otherwise all this would be a waste. I did this to impress him after all.
“Hi, may I please have two s*x on the beach.” Billy tells the gentleman standing behind what looks like a bar.
I pull on Billy’s arm, “I can’t have alcohol.” I whisper into his ear while the man gets busy mixing liquids.
“You need to have some to loosen up.” He says.
“No I don’t. I think I will be okay.”
“Kate, you are gonna have this drink okay. It’s part of partying.”
“But Billy I have never had alcohol and I am too young to be……..”
“Babes relax.” He places his hands on both my shoulders, “There’s barely any alcohol I swear. I won’t let you take a lot to get drunk, I promise.” He convinces me.
“Fine.” I say biting my bottom lip.
I will only have one drink and nothing more. I cannot get drunk at my first party. I have not even seen Jordan yet.
“Here you go.”
The bar tender hands us two huge glasses with a drink that has many assorted colours. It is orange at the bottom, peach in the middle and red at the top with a slice of lemon and a straw.
“Thanks.” Billy smiles at him then hands me one glass. “Let’s find somewhere to sit. Maybe by the pool area.”
“Sure.”
I just follow Billy’s lead, I have no idea of my way around this house. If I make an attempt to even find the bathroom, on my own I swear I will get lost.
We walk through a room full of teens drinking and chatting their lives away until we get to the end of the room which leads outside where the huge, beautiful pool is.
The music is less loud here with a few people around the pool with their feet hanging into the water.
“Hey guys.” Billy says as we approach a group of two girls and a guy.
“Hey Billy.” One of the girls turns to look at us.
“Can we join you?” he asks.
“Sure.” The other girl responds.
“Hi.” I say to them.
“Guys this is my BFF Mary-Kate.” Billy introduces me to the group. “Babe, this is Stephanie.” The girl who greeted Billy before we joined them. “This is Lucy,” the other girl. “And Josh.” The guy.
The two girls both have blonde hair with round faces, you would think they are sisters or something. Josh has black hair with a slim physic and a poker face. He does not seem too friendly.
“It’s nice to meet you all.” I say to them with a small smile.
The guy takes one glance at me and looks away. Yep, he doesn’t like me.
“You’re new right? Because I haven’t seen your face at our school.” Stephanie asks.
I nod my head, “I only started last Monday.”
They all don’t look familiar to me, they must be from the other senior class in our grade.
“No wonder, you’re pretty.” Lucy adds.
“Thank you.” I shyly respond and tuck a few strands of hair behind my ear.
The five of us get into a conversation, well mainly three. Billy, Stephanie, and Lucy are talking about fashion. I am listening in with little to contribute, I know nothing about fashion or being stylish. Josh is quiet, noticeably quiet. He has not said a word the whole time I have been here. I keep catching him sending me weird glances which are making me a little uncomfortable.
“Excuse me guys, I will be right back.” I say while getting off the cushion I have been seated on.
“Where are you going?” Stephanie asks.
“To get another drink.” I say raising my empty glass.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed this s*x on the beach drink. I can hardly taste any alcohol even though I have no idea how it tastes. But this drink or cocktail like I heard Billy mention at one point, tastes like juice.
“Ohhh you liked it.” Billy says with the ‘You should trust your BFF’s judgement look’.
“Do any of you guys need a drink?” I ask everyone.
“No, we are good.” Lucy raises a bottle of something I assume is the alcohol they have been sipping on.
“Alright, I will be back.” I say then turn around walking away in the same direction we came.
It would be nice to meet Jordan in this swam of people. Everyone looks like they are enjoying themselves. I would too if I had more friends whom I have things in common with. I see couples making out, eyy. I wonder what that must be like, I have never made out with anyone.
Just as I get to the bar, I see Jordan sitting on one of the stools with a drink in one hand and the other resting on the bar counter. The blond-haired person I saw him talking too the other day as he left the library is standing awfully close to him. She is practically between his legs.
She is wearing a short sleeveless red maxi dress that is clinging to her body like a second skin. Her hair is styled in curls that are falling on her back and has black pumps on her feet. She is busy talking to Jordan who looks dashingly handsome. He is dressed like one of those male models in the magazines.
White shirt folded to the elbows with the first button undone showing off a bit of his chest. Dark jeans and nice matching black and white converse on his feet. His hair is in its usual spiky mess, but he looks hot either way.
I should have come to find him earlier and I would be standing there with him talking about God knows what. But instead, I am here and not there. Lord that should be me right now not the pretty blonde.
What am I doing standing here and admiring him when his talking to a girl that has so much more to offer than I do. I should just ask for my drink and leave.
“May I please have another s*x on the beach.” I nicely ask the person mixing drinks.
“With alcohol or not?”
“With alcohol.” I say.
The first one was not bad, the second one should be okay too.

Jordan’s POV
Blair is boring my ears out right now. I have tried so hard to stay focused and keep a conversation going but eish, I keep wondering what better things Mary-Kate had to do that she stood me up.
If I had her phone number, I would have called her by now, but then again, I have never seen her with a phone, so I doubt she has one. If I had Billy’s I would have called and asked if they were coming or not.
“So daddy said we could both go.” Blair says with a smile.
“What? Go where?”
I swear I have not listened to a thing she has said. I have been staring at the beautiful girl standing by the bar not too far from where Blair and I are. She resembles Mary-Kate a lot. Maybe it’s the countless tequila shots I have taken but this girl is fine and looks like Mary-Kate from the side view.
She has the same hair colour and body shape, I have not seen her face to confirm if she’s the one but I doubt she is who I think she is. Mary-Kate would not be…
“Italy, during the long weekend. Jordan did you not hear a single thing I said?” she asks searching my eyes for answers.
Fuck! This girl is still talking.
I am not about to get into one of those unnecessary arguments we get into when I am not giving her attention. Blair is probably telling me about the plans our fathers have, and she wants us to tag along their trips. I hate being under the same roof as my father so I do not understand why she thinks I would agree to go on a trip with him.
“Sorry Blair, please excuse me.” I say putting my drink on the counter and walking over to the girl not too far from where I am.
“Ahh…. Jordan I wasn’t done talking to you!” I hear Blair’s angry voice, but I do not care right now, I think I have seen someone better to talk too.
“Here is your s*x on the beach.” The bartender hands the drink to the girl.
“Thank you.” She gets the glass and turns towards me, and my bad timing gets me wet by her drink because I am too close to her.
“My goodness I am so sorry….” She starts apologizing immediately when the drink is all emptied on me.
I recognize the voice, Mary-Kate. A smile spreads across my face when I look up at her face. Her face has a little makeup, but she looks so f*****g pretty.
My eyes cannot believe what I am seeing. She looks nothing like I ever expected she would look in other clothes other than the uniform I have seen her in all week.
Fuck she looks hot!
