Mary-Kate’s POV
“Yes Mary-Kate. You need to stay in bed for the rest of the week.” The nurse explains.
“A week is too long. I will miss a lot of my classes.” I can’t imagine the work load I shall have after missing a whole week of school.
“Yes you will have too if you want to get better. The medicine you shall be on is very strong. The side effect is drowsiness so you need to stay in bed and recover faster.” She emphasizes on the staying in bed part.
This would not be happening if Jordan had showed up like we had planned. I would not have gotten soaked by the rain and I wouldn’t be sick right now.
“Alright.” I accept defeat.
“Here is your sick note. Give it to your guidance teacher who will inform all your teachers about your absence.” She hands me a slip that is a sick note.
