“I am ready B.”
“Are you sure are finally okay to return to school?” he asks from the other end of the phone.
“Yes B I am fully recovered, you can ask dad if you like.” I suggest then quickly pass dad the phone.
“Hi Billy, yes she is better and can return to school today. She even made me breakfast.” He tries to convince Billy.
Dad hands me back my phone, “Are you convinced?”
“How do I know you haven’t bribed the poor man?” he asks.
“Okay fine, come over and test me Dr Billy.”
“Yes I am coming I need to see it for myself that you are well. I actually need to bring you some soup.” He says.
Yack, more soup? I cannot take any more.
“Okay B, see you soon.” I tell him before I hang up.
“Was he convinced?” dad asks.
“Not really, says he has to see me for himself.”
