THE ESCAPE

Gasp-gasp-gasp A loud panting can be heard from the lonely Frankness avenue........ Screams and howling could be heard from a distance Somebody help me!!!!!! A female voice keeps screaming but to no help came by *Aliyah's POV I've been screaming and running for a long time on this long lonely road with the words of my unknown kidnapper ringing in my head “You won't be able to run too far even if you escape I will still catch you no matter what" Fear engulfed me during my escape I had been running till I felt my legs go sore and I stumbled and fell hard to the ground Not minding my dilemma I quickly stood up and continued my shouting while searching for help, I had given up hope of finding a savior when suddenly two bright lights from a car shone directly in my eyes, I felt a wave of relief wash over me while I flagged my hands on the road not wanting this opportunity to slip away, I waved for a while before the car pulled beside me and the driver asked what the situation was. "Young lady why are you running in the rain and at this time of the night" his concerned voice reached my ears, “I...I am...I am being chased, I was kidnapped......."sob...sob... sob..... I couldn't complete my statement before I started sobbing vigorously “ohhhh I'm so sorry dear, how about you get in while I take you into town" his yet again charming concerned voice reached my ears making me warm inside I took my time to breath in the the beauty and handsomeness of this man while in my state of dilemma, and to be sincere he gave that certain vibe that could make you pause at whatever you are doing and hold your breath just to appreciate his beauty, in general he was just simply HOT, He gave a badboy vibe as well as a protective aura that made me feel safe With his one hand placed on the steering wheel and his other somewhere where my eyes didn't have to time to find and his shirt slightly opened at the top made me feel some movement inside my stomach “ummmm.... excuse me miss,are you there ???" his voice pulled me out of my wild thoughts “y...ye...yes of course" I sttutered while mentally cursing myself “i asked if you are willing to enter my car while I take you into the main town but you seemed to had spaced out"he said again concerned, ohhhh his damn sweet voice “Yes, of course Thank you very much" I said while getting into the front passenger's seat “Miss...ummm.....I would like to know your name,by the way my name is Jaxon Darko" he said with a smile while introducing himself “Well.....my name is Aliyah Winters” I said with a sheepish smile “Aliiiyyahhh" the way he said my name so slowly made me feel like the world should come to a pause,ugh what's with all these thoughts I screamed internally after a moment of recollection I looked at him with gratefulness in my eyes and said “Thank you out there I will forever remain indebted to you" I was lost in my grateful world when I heard a little chuckle from him, nervously I raised my head to look at him and noticed he was looking at me he was also not driving anymore because the car was parked and said “That's what a gentleman will do when he sees a pretty lady in distress" he ended it with a proud smile I was at loss for words but could only say "Thank you" once more The journey became quiet till we arrived at a place know as the largest market square in the whole of Greenhaven a city in Vylonia,I looked at him confused but he just looked away and came out of the car before I could try reaching the door handle he had already opened it for me with a smile plastered on his face “whaa....what are you doing" I asked him while looking confused as I stepped out of the car “I'm just being a gentleman” he said with a wide grin like a child As we left the parking lot, the sounds and smells of the bustling market square enveloped us. We arrived at the main shopping section, and I looked at Jaxon, confusion etched on my face. He turned to me, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes, and shrugged his shoulders. Jaxon didn't explain the reason we were here, Instead, he kept walking, weaving through the crowds of people with ease. I lagged behind him, my eyes fixed on his back as I tried to make sense of what was happening. The market square was a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds, with vendors calling out to passersby and the smell of exotic spices wafting through the air. But despite the lively atmosphere, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. I quickened my pace to catch up to Jaxon, my voice barely above a whisper as I asked, "Why are we here?" Jaxon slowed down, his eyes scanning me from head to toe before responding, "Are you planning on using that tattered cloth to walk around?" His tone was laced with amusement, and I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I realized he was referring to my clothes. I awkwardly looked down at myself, taking in my disheveled appearance. My clothes were indeed tattered and worn, and I looked like I had just rolled out of bed. I felt a pang of self-consciousness, wondering why I hadn't noticed my appearance earlier. Jaxon chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up," he said, gesturing for me to follow him. As I wandered through the racks, running my fingers over the luxurious fabrics and marveling at the exquisite designs, a nagging thought began to creep into my mind. "How am I going to pay for any of this?" I wondered, my eyes scanning the price tags. I had lost everything when I was taken - my phone, my wallet, my entire life. Now, I was at the mercy of this stranger, Jaxon, who seemed to be taking care of me. But for how long? And why? As I stood amidst the opulent boutique, surrounded by designer clothes and sparkling accessories, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. It had only been a few hours since I was kidnapped, and now I found myself in this luxurious store with a stranger who claimed to be helping me. The memories of the night's events were still hazy, but I remembered the feeling of being dragged away from my normal life, and the fear that had gripped my heart. "I don't need anything," I said finally, turning to face Jaxon. "Really, it's okay. I don't want to be a burden." Jaxon's expression was unreadable, but I could sense a flicker of surprise behind his eyes. "You're not a burden," he said softly. "I just want to help." I shook my head, feeling a surge of determination. "I appreciate your kindness, but I need to take care of myself. I don't want to owe anyone anything." Jaxon's eyes sparkled with amusement as he chuckled, his deep voice sending a shiver down my spine. "How exactly are you going to pay?" he asked, his tone laced with a hint of teasing. I seemed to freeze, my mind going blank as I realized I had no cash on me. I hadn't had a chance to grab my purse when I was kidnapped, and now I was completely at Jaxon's mercy. My face grew hot with embarrassment as I struggled to come up with a response. "I...I don't know," I admitted finally, feeling a surge of frustration at my own helplessness.
