chapter 1
As I was tidying up the house as usual, I suddenly received devastating news. “Ma'am, your son has been in a car accident. Please come at once!” “What?” I gasped. Today, my husband Ace Keaton had unexpectedly offered to take our son Steven to school, which made our son very happy. After all, we had been giving each other the silent treatment for nearly a week over our son's transfer to a new school. Before leaving for school, my son's face was full of innocent smiles. "I love Mommy and Daddy the most. It's great that you two finally made up.' Who could have known that within two hours, my son would be in a car accident! I hurriedly hailed a taxi to the hospital while anxiously asking the doctor about my son's condition. “Your son is in critical condition. He keeps calling you.” I broke down in tears in the taxi, my poor son. When I arrived at the hospital, I was stopped by a nurse. “I'm sorry, ma'am, but the patient's condition has worsened, and he is undergoing emergency surgery.' I anxiously awaited the doctor's update. The doctor told me that my son's heart had been pierced by a steel rod, and he needed either a heart donor or an artificial heart. Tears streamed down my face as I knelt, begging the doctor to save my son. “Ms. Jennings, doesn't your husband run a company that specializes in artificial hearts? Why not ask him?” I suddenly remembered my husband Ace's company, which had recently developed a successful artificial heart program with promising clinical trials. I frantically dialed Ace's number once, twice, and a third time. "Hello, what... do you want me?” The female voice sounded familiar-it was his stepsister Judy. I didn't think much about her relationship with my husband. She was just his stepsister. "Judy, where is Ace? I-”My words were cut off by the sound of slapping and Judy's sticky, coquettish cries. “Too fast... ah... hmm.” Ace's panting came through. “I'm busy.' The phone was hung up. I was left in a daze. The doctor rushed out and anxiously asked me, "Have you found a heart donor?" In my desperation, I couldn't think of anything unusual between them. I cried and shouted, willing to use my heart, my son was only eight, and I was already thirty; but it wouldn't work. I asked why there wasn't a backup plan. The doctor shook his head and said, "That decision is up to your husband's company. It needs his consent, and the approval hasn't gone through yet." I dialed Ace's number again and again, but all I got was, "The number you have dialed is currently unavailable..." I started contacting people at my husband's company, but no one had the authority to authorize the use of the artificial heart, except for Ace. The doctor told me there was only an hour left to save my son. If we couldn't find a heart donor, he would die. I remembered that my husband might be with his stepsister Judy, so I rushed over immediately. I arrived at Judy's place, and through the window, I was shocked to find them having s*x. She lay on the bed with my husband, engaging in the most obscene acts. She was young, sweet, charming, and seductive. I had aged through the relentless grind of daily chores and household duties. Ace had cheated on me with his stepsister. "Why don't we go to your place? Wouldn't it be more thrilling to have an affair there?" "That old hag is at home, it's inconvenient," they continued their intimate actions.
