The Dragon King's Daughter

Introducing Ebony. So we have all heard stories about dragons. In the East they symbolise strength, good luck and fortune. In the West fire-breathing titans that take young maidens and horde mountains of precious treasure. However there is a secret no-one knows. The most powerful Dragons have the ability to turn into humans. How do I know this you ask, well that's easy, I'll tell you later. But I digress. I'm Ebony, I don't have a surname per se, so at the moment I go by Morgan, Ebony Morgan nice to meet ya. I'm tall at 7 foot 5½ inches, I have long obsidian black hair which has an iridescent purple shine to it, my hair is also how my mother gave me my name. I have large, elongated at the corner almond shaped eyes which creates a wicked cats eye when I wear makeup. My eye colour does tend to garner some looks, so when I'm out and about I either wear sunglasses or contact lenses to cover them, naturally I have Ametrine eyes, I didn't know there was a name for the colour until I stayed near a mine in Bolivia a few decades ago, it really is an amazing thing to see. I have a slender nose and full pouty lips tainted red. I have well developed muscles from all the years of training and learning. I have travelled the world more than once, I can speak every language even many that are long dead. I've seen the rise and fall of empires, I helped build the great wall of China, lived with the Aztecs, even fought along side Alexander the Great. However my fondest moments were the years I spent working in the illustrious and mesmerising libraries of Alexandria. As of today I am 6285 years old. Yeah I know I'm old, that's because I'm part dragon. I have managed to gain a dragons immortality as well as an awesome set of talons which I keep well manicured so people don't notice, this part I got from my father. What I know of my father is he is a dragon, he met his fated mate when my mum was pregnant with me, and she let him go, she knew to never keep fated mates from each other, but he brought his mate to see my mum and they became fast friends. When I was 6 months old my father came to visit to tell us I was going to be a big sister, unfortunately while he was visiting a bunch of barbaric hunters raided their home and killed everyone including his mate and unborn clutch, I haven't seen him since. My mum however was amazing, she was with me everyday until she died. My mum was special, she and I are directly descended from the first Celestial Kitsune created by the moon goddess, there are various types of Kitsune or as most say nowadays fox shifters but the Celestial is the rarest. Only the females of our line have a chance of becoming a Celestial Kitsune but only once we meet our fated mates, even then it is not guaranteed. There has not been a Celestial fox born in our line for at least 16 millennium. By this time I have given up looking for my fated mate, if I do have one he can come find me hehe, I shouldn't laugh. So today I start my new project. Recently I have taken up a job as a makeup artist for the local film and photography studios. Even though technically I turn 6285 everyone here thinks I am turning 26 today, and that's how I like it. Every few decades I move to a new place and start all over again this way people don't get suspicious over the fact I don't age. I don't know what it is with today, but I have the strangest feeling, it's a mix of pure excitement and absolute fear and trepidation. With all the tension in my body from my feelings I decide to go for a run. There is a beautiful lake with turquoise water edged in white stone near where I live, it's about a 6 mile run around the edge of the lake. This should be good enough to alleviate my body, once I'm back home I run a hot bath and put some acai berry scented bath salts into the water to relax the remainder of my body aswell as my mind. I head over to my closest and pull out a matching dress top and ¾ length leggings, I pair this with a set of small wedge open-toed shoes. With my makeup done I finally leave for my meeting, it only takes 45 minutes to get to the studio, while at the red light I quickly go over whom I am to meet today. ok so it looks like 2 male artists for this project and one owns the land we will be shooting on, interesting. As I wonder to myself, what I didn't expect was what I had in return. 'Ebony, this feeling we are having it's getting stronger the closer to the studio we get, I'm starting to get worried.' My dragon only speaks like this when something is off the last time was just before the volcano on Krakatoa erupted. And now I'm tense all over again..... damn it.
