The alarm blared in her ear, demanding she gets up and ready for the day. "Ugh, shut up." Zoey said, searching for the sleep button. "Zoey, time to get up!" A voice echoed through the halls. Slowly, Zoey began to roll out of bed, not happy waking up. "I'll be glad when I graduate and can sleep all day." She murmured under her breath as she began her morning routine. "Zoey, hunny, hurry before you're late!" The voice shouted down the hall. Getting out of the shower drying her hair off, she shouted, "I'm coming! I'm just getting dressed!" Suddenly, she looked at the mirror that was fogged up from the shower. Something in her was calling her to look into the mirror. So she looked into the mirror, trying to make out detail. She could swear someone was staring at her. Wiping away some to make sure nothing. No one was there, but she began to feel uneasy. "ZOEY COME ON!" The voiced shouted, hearing the irritation in their voice. Shaking her head quickly put her clothes on and shot down the hall towars the living room. When she arrived in the living room, she could see her mother tall and lanky tapping her foot on the floor, her arms crossed. "About time." She told Zoey, who was grabbing her book bag. "I been hollering for you." Her mother continued. Sighing, "I know, mom, I know." She said as she began to walk out the door to the bus. Walking out of the house, the sun blinded her with force. She shielded her eyes "Man I wish I had a car." She said to herself angrily. The heat from the sun blistered her skin, burning her pale skin as she walked to the bus stop. "Run! Please, no!" A voice bellowed out, sending Zoey into a fright. Without thinking, Zoey began to scan the roads looking for the owner of the voice. THEN AGAIN "Run! Don't look back! Just run!" The voice shouted, bringing Zoey's fight or flight into go. She began to bolt like a strike of lighting hitting the ground towards the bus, not looking back. "PLEASE NO!" The voice echoed, connecting to her brain to her feet. She ran what felt like miles her legs began to throb, and her breath was gone by the time she made it to the bus stop. Anxiously, she turned her head, expecting to see SOMETHING. When she turned her head, her blood ran cold because she saw a faceless man looking directly at her. Their eye sockets sunken as if their eyes had been removed and the skin grew over the holes. The man opened his mouth, revealing sharp jagged teeth. His nose began to flare as his head shot back, smelling the air around her. "I smell you." He said, leaning closer to her. He was so close she could smell how horrible his breath was. She slowly inched away, holding her breath as she did. The man sniffed again. "Where are you? Why did you run from me?" He began to creep closer to her. Zoey could feel the fear building up in her throat. The suddenly a loud blaring horn startled her. "GET OUT THE ROAD STUPID!" A passing by car shouted, forcing her to turn towards the traffic on the road she stood in. When she turned to look back at the man, hoping he wasn't near her, he was gone. Vanished in the wind as if he wasn't really there. Before she could process the events that happened, the bus screeched to a halt and opened its doors to her. Wild children could be heard from the bus as she stood wide eye and dazed. "You commin or what kid?" The driver said, holding his hand on the handle of the door ready to close it. She shook her head "Yeah yeah I'm coming sorry John." She hurried up on the bus to begin her day.
